"A good hotel and breakfast, friendly staff - but some disadvantages you should know in advance I liked: (1) The friendliness of the staff. (2) The cleanliness and functionality of the entire hotel. There are only a few coat hangers and a few hooks (in the inexpensive rooms). The more expensive ones also have a few open shelves in the bathroom area. (2) On some nights, the residents of neighboring rooms were quite loud before 6:00 am or after 10:00 pm, which showed that the hotel's soundproofing is not optimal. It is also very strange that the hotel rents rooms to school groups whose students show no consideration for other guests at all. (3) There are no international TV channels such as CNN or BBC, only Taiwanese and some Japanese channels. (4) The nearest MRT station, Mingde, is about a 20-minute walk away, so you always have to take a bus to Zhishan, Shilin or Jiantan MRT stations first. In addition, the buses often get stuck in traffic jams, which are very common on Zhongshan North Road. A trip to Taipei 101, for example, can take an hour in total."
