„What a find this place was! Loved the retro decor but with modern appliances and amenities. Very comfy beds and furniture, and lovely screened porch facing the woods. Mt. Hope is not much of a town but it’s located about halfway between the northern and southern ends of the NP which made for shorter drives in either direction to access trails. „The property is an affordable option if you want to visit New River Gorge and not pay hundreds per night at the resort or tent camp in order to do so. For the price you get a clean, air conditioned place to stay with a basic kitchen and great shower, which is perfect for after a day of hiking or other activities. You can't walk to get anywhere and it's a 15-20 minute drive into town, so just plan accordingly. The host is very responsive and helpful. “

„Overall a great little house! Had the kitchen stocked and a nice fire pit out back. They did have some dusty nightstands, the night lights in the kids beds didn’t work, there were some spiderwebs on the ceiling and a thick layer of dust on the ceiling fans but that’s nothing compared to some other places we have stayed. Great location and beautiful property!“
