Cottage in Südliche Highlands finden – gemütliches Ferienhaus auf dem Land mieten

„Karen was a charming and helpful owner who made us very welcome. Her recommendations of places to go were invaluable, as we didn't know the area. She provided everthing we needed including lots of heaters, as the house was a bit chilly. Plenty of space and a lovely garden with lots of wildlife. An enjoyable week.“

„An excellent short break, very relaxing. Weather not great but expected due to the time of year, this didn't spoil the week. Staff were excellent and most helpful. The Jamming session of local musicians in the middle of the week was a treat“

„Very comfortable cottage in a superb, remote, location. Hosts Andrew and Sheila were welcoming and helpful but equally unobtrusive.Lovely walks just a short drive away - a very relaxing week“

„Our stay at the Cottage in the woods was amazing and I wish we had booked for longer. I travelled with four teens and a dog and the property was perfect. A beautifully decorated and well laid out property that had everything we needed and more. Beautiful outdoor seating and cooking options, arrived to the fire going and a welcome basket. The hosts were very welcoming and so accommodating, especially helpful after my dog rolled in a big and I needed to fully wash him down. I cannot rate this ...

„This was our first visit to the West Highlands and we were not disappointed. A beautifully maintained resort within a spectacular setting. We had planned to visit the islands during the week but found so much to do locally we decided to save the islands for a future visit. We particularly enjoyed the local walks from the resort which we purchased from reception for £1 on arrival. We also enjoyed some beautiful cycle rides in particular along the Crinan Canal, as well as enjoying local areas of ...

„Das Haus liegt wunderschön am Wasser und ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Das Essen im dazugehörigen Hotel ist lecker und preislich in Ordnung . Super ist , das man den Hotelpool mit nutzen darf . Es hätte ein wenig sauberer sein können . Ich würde es aber jederzeit wieder buchen .“

„Rooms spotless everything you need decor a bit tired as we all know it rains a lot in Scotland so would be good to have some kind of protection from rain over hot tub“

„We stayed at Aonach Cottage in late June and early July of 2026. The cottage is beautiful and surrounded by mountains. The road to the cottage is about 7 minutes long and bumpy, but worth it to be in such a beautiful location. Here are some details about the cottage. In the picture shown, the Aonach cottage rental is the right half of the building. The left half is another cottage. Inside the cottage, there are two bedrooms on the first floor. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the ...

„Great house with a stunning view“

„Die Aussicht und der Pool war toll. Die Badezimmer und Wc weniger.2 der Duschschläuche waren defekt.Die Küche ist nicht sehr gut ausgestattet um selber zu kochen. Die Waschmaschine war so schmutzig, dass wir sie nicht gebrauchen konnten. Sehr schade ums schöne Häusschen.“

„Lovely house, so peaceful and great facilities. We enjoyed lighting the fire.“

„Property could do with some refurb work, black mould in various places, place needs a good clean“

„We stayed in Weighbridge 20 years ago and we were excited to return to our cozy cottage, so comfortable and warm. We want to return again and stay longer.“

„Melfort never disappoints; excellent staff and accommodation -only downside on this occasion, Shower of Herring closed until new people reopen it on 10 October. However, nearby Cufail Hotel supplied excellent meals.“

„Really enjoyed our stay.Just did not have enough time to spend on all the things available. Just a nice part of the world to be in“

„Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). All in all just a ...

„The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.“

„Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Anlage sehr empfehlen. Immer wieder.“
