We found our small double to be as advertised SMALL, but cozy. Jackie and her staff were accommodating and breakfast was delicious. The location was ideal for those who like to walk around an old walled city and there were many dining options nearby

Great location. Easy walk to train/bus. Cool medieval/castle property. Nicely furnished. Small but comfortable room. Ensuite bathroom very nice and all immaculately clean. Host/owner is very friendly. I ordered the light breakfast which was excellent in a beautiful dining room. There is also a very pretty back courtyard. I was able to store luggage for the day.

Great B&B, good value, nice hosts.

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely B&B. The owners were really nice and helpful. Always making sure that we had everything we need but without being intrusive. We booked the budget room but as the place was not full at that time, they kindly upgraded us for a bigger one. The location is perfect, in the heart of the city centre. We will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. Lauriane & Frank

Great location for exploring Stirling

Property location was perfect for exploring Stirling. Check-in was quite stressful. Couldn't park outside, lots of stairs to climb with our luggage, and we were given a door code but not a room number. Parking at Wellgreen was £4 overnight, not £2.50 as stated. Room was sizeable with a really good view, and facilities were fine, but bed was uncomfortable. Host was friendly and very helpful when I explained the stressful check-in, and also gave good advice on where to go in Stirling.

Nice enough. Was sent check in codes ahead of arrival, and no real problems there although communication from hotel could be a bit better on this, as implied I would get charged extra for arriving after 7pm to check. Room had an enormous wardrobe located in such a way couldn't open either room door or bathroom door fully. More bizarrely no coathangers in wardrobe, so effectively useless.

Das Zimmer war zwar sehr klein, jedoch liebevoll eingerichtet. Badezimmer befindet sich ausserhalb des Zimmers, konnte aber ausschliesslich von uns genutzt werden. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Gerne wieder :)

Nettes B&B in toller Lage

Das B&B liegt in sehr schöner Lage nahe der Burg und der Altstadt von Stirling. Es ist in die alte Stadtmauer gebaut. Dementsprechend ist das Erdegeschoß etwas dunkel und feucht. Unser Zimmer war sehr klein und etwas dunkel, aber sauber. Das Bett war sehr schmal, aber ansonsten sehr komfortabel mit guter Matratze. Es gab in dem winzigen Zimmer wenig Stauraum, aber ansonsten alles, was man brauchte, z.B. eine kleines Tischchen mit Utensilien zur Teezubereitung. Unser privates Bad lag auf dem gleichen Flur. Im ersten Stock befand sich der Frühstücksraum. Von hier aus hatte man einen schönen Ausblick. Es wurde ein fantastisches schottisches Frühstück zubereitet, es gab sogar eine vegetarische Variante. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir erhielten zahlreiche gute Tips für Ausflüge. Alles in allem hat uns das uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis komplett überzeugt. Vor allem das inkludierte Frühstück und die Lage waren super.

I received an email from the host with accurate check-in information 1 day prior to check in. The breakfast was very minimal with toast being the only hot food offered. The windows in the room opened, allowing a nice breeze. The bed was soft and moderately comfortable. The view of the Sterling streets was nice and the property is within a 15 minute walk of the sterling castle. Be advised of spiral staircases making it difficult to get luggage larger than carry-on size up to the room.

Mediocre at best. Most disappointing stay in our 14day Scotland trip. We did not receive a code to enter building and after 20 minutes we were fortunate someone came to enter. No breakfast included unless you booked directly not through Expedia. Never came across this before at a bed n breakfast. I would not recommend this highly as there are so many more lovely places to stay.

The location was incredible, walkable to everywhere you need to go. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the room was absolutely beautiful! The staff we met were very friendly and extremely helpful. We’d stay here again in a second!

Our host Jackie graciously helped us with our early breakfast requirement and we were able to get to our flight out of Edinburgh in plenty of time. Great location, but the room needs some updating. Bed creaked very loudly at any tiny movement and the shower had an unpleasant smell unfortunately.

It would be helpful to tell guests in advance that they will have to find parking on the street which is very limited and there is a charge for parking so they have the correct coins to do so. Also lots of stairs to climb to get to your room.

Early on arrival we made a call and Jackie arrived within minutes. Property is clean and tidy and the breakfast which was supplied gave an excellent choice. Property is in an ideal situation for all town centre amenities and on the whole in a quiet area of the town. We arrived in Stirling by train from Glasgow and had an easy ten minute walk from the Railway Station though I would imagine parking would be a problem. The one draw back was the size of the room which was listed as a double with an ensuite and garden view and in truth is a single with a double bed in it. This meant that it was impossible to exit the bed on one side without climbing over the other occupant! I acknowledge some fault in the room selection as the size in sq. ft. is given in the room description but this I missed. This room is also situated by the main entrance door so we were disturbed by other occupants returning late though this is hardly the fault of the property or it's owners as there are requests for residents to consider others. All in all a great City to visit and enhanced by a great day out at the final day of the Solheim Cup at Gleneagles, if you're European of course (and at this point we still were!)

Lovely stay and lovely host

My room was on the entrance floor and very quiet. I loved the bed and pillows, very confortable! There was a little space between the bed and the bathroom wall but this wasn't an inconvenience as it was just a very small part in the way to the window. The breakfast is very generous and delicious, having a lot of options, including the Scottish Breakfast. Jackie, one of the hosts, is extremely nice, she was very considerate in asking my food options and/or allergies and explained what to visit and do aside from visiting the castle. I really appreciated she told me about the meaning of my arrival on 11th September, thanks to her I was lucky to watch the Scottish Red Hot Chili Pipers right below the Wallace Monument! Thank you, Jackie I truly enjoyed my stay in Stirling and in your B&B :)
