The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! „Our stay at Emerald Beach Resort was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The room itself was mediocre at best, but the beds and pillows were absolutely awful—easily some of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever experienced. The bigger issue was the complete lack of basic functionality and service. The phone in our room didn’t work at all (no dial tone), and the TV wouldn’t load Netflix. „The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! “

„We had the private villa with the balcony . The place it self is nice with an ocean view. The bar is only open until 9 which is a downer but the drinks are reasonable priced. It is a 5 minute walk from the airport so no need for a taxi to get to and from which I liked. Right by the beach which was nice. You can tell the property is older but it is nice and quiet. They have cats and roosters on the property. Seem like the island is known for that, they don’t bother anyone tho. “

„Love this resort. Perfect blend of beach, pool and activities. The staff and amenities were great - we had all the amenities of a hotel resort but felt like we had our own place all to ourselves. The condo was modern, equipped and beautifully decorated. We found it's central location perfect for everything - shopping, dinner etc.“
