„This was a memorable birthday stay, our room had a direct view of York Cathedral was comfortable, clean. It had everything we could need and breakfast was also delicious even for us as vegetarians. “

„We had a lovely stay here. The staff were wonderful and accommating, gave us tips on places and restaurants to go to. Its only a short walk to the centre and to the riverside - extremely convenient. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options and fresh bread each morning - 3 different kinds! Downsides - The walls were thin and on our last night we could hear the room next to us snoring. Also we had a problem with parking where all spaces were taken due to an event so we had to drive out of ...

„Altmodisches aber gepflegtes Hotel zentral in York gelegen. Unser Zimmer war großzügig und das Bett gemütlich - was mich jedoch enorm gestört hat, war der fettige Gestank der vom Frühstück ins ganze Haus zieht und dort stehenbleibt. Auch bei offenem Fenster hatte ich den Geruch nach Bratfett noch in der Nase und zu Hause muss ich erstmal alle Textilien incl der Jacke waschen.“

„St. Mary`s liegt am Ende einer ruhigen Wohnstraße. Die Betten waren bequem, das Frühstück umfangreich und die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ca.10 Minuten bis zur Innenstadt, 15 Min. Fußweg zum Bahnhof. Einfach perfekt!“

„Der Speisesaalbereich war stilvoll eingerichtet. Zimmer und Bad waren ok, der Zugang über Treppen und enge Gänge mit großen Koffern eine Herausforderung. Das Frühstück war durchschnittlich. Günstigere Gebühr über das Hotel beim Parken auf öffentlichem Parkplatz (zu Fuss ca. 10 Minuten). Man ist sofort in der Fussgängerzone mit den Bars und Pubs.“

„Great location, right in the City Centre. A small but very different room giving the feeling you have travelled back in time, but with a little modern comforts. Heating and fridge!! Expensive, but then so is all accommodation in York. Quirky, bit pleased we have ticked this one off our list of places to stay. Probably not suited to an extended stay, one or two nights only. But an experience. 👍“

„Leider sind die Zimmer und Fenster sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße und konnten jedes Wort verstehen, was dort erzählt wurde. Genauso mit dem Zimmer nebenan. Man hörte sogar, wie die Kaffeemaschine nebenan gelaufen ist... Ein Grund, dass Hotel nicht als gut zu bewerten.“

„we had a clean and lovely studio apartment . only minus points were the view on the car park next door from our studio and to pay extra for the parking. check in and out was very easy and the mini kiosk had reasonable prices. overall we had a great stay and enjoyed it very much :)“

„Ideale Lage im Zentrum von York. Das Zimmer war geräumig. Einzig das Frühstück von 9 bis 10 Uhr war für uns eher spät. Zudem gab es nur gekochte Speisen und Cerealien. Früchte oder Joghurt hätten wir und gewünscht.“
