Unfortunately, we were looking forward to our stay here, but we were extremely disappointed. Where to begin....We arrived 2 hours prior to check in, so we sent a message to the host letting them know we were early and asked if it was possible to check in early. This message was sent prior to our arrival, while we were about 20 mins away. We never got a response. We arrived and used the code to check in, only to discover that the house hadn't been cleaned, bed sheets were on the floor of each room, nothing was cleaned. We left and went and got food, sent a 2nd message to host about the situation, no response. Called the host, no answer, left a message. No call back. Went back to the house at 4 pm, the check in time. Surprise, the house still hadn't been cleaned. Called the host, she answered and said she would call her cleaning lady. Called me back to say that she was sorry and could they treat us to dinner? Ummm, no..we just ate, I believe we should get a refund for the day. Her answer was, "well check in was at 4, the cleaning lady should be there and done by 6:30, so it's really just 2.5 hours of your time." Excuse me? There was no concern for the inconvenience, etc. We just traveled 10 hours and now we have to wait for a cleaning lady to get here and clean? She left at 7:40 pm. Later, we go to take showers and no hot water and the main shower didn't work. Plumber came next morning to fix. More inconvenience. Her answer? Refund of 100. Thanks.
