„Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed.“

„A great hotel with an amazing view right on the South Sands beach . Quite a distance from Salcombe if you are walking and the roads around the area are very narrow ( single track) and steep. We used the ferry to get to Salcombe although it only runs until late afternoon and costs £5.50 each way . The food was good and quite reasonably priced. The decor at the hotel was a little tired . Lots of dogs were in residence and were made very welcome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Overall ...

„Our room was large and quite cool. The bathroom was great: large space, efficient shower. The staff were very helpful, bringing us an ironing board which we didn’t in the end need. Breakfast and evening meal serving staff very pleasant and again helpful. Breakfast was good, well cooked and tasty.“

Die Einfahrt durchs Tor, der Weg entlang des Golfplatzes, verspricht einen schönen Aufenthalt. Aber: Das Hotel hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich.
