„Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service ...

„the Hotel was fine and the service okay. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the estuary which had a nice view and got the the sun in the morning and afternoon. We had dinner the first night which was good. My only concern was the cost. We are retired and frequently holiday/travel and so stay in numerous miserly 4 and 5 star hotels. So the nightly cost of £400 seemed extremely high for this trip especially as you had to pay an extra £10 for a cooked breakfast and got charged 12.5% service ...

„Wir haben in England eine Rundreise gemacht und haben den Dartmoornatinalpark besucht. Das Hotel liegt für Wanderungen im Dartmoor ideal. Die Umgebung, das Gebäude die Zimmer und die Gasro-Bereiche sind super!“

„Really friendly staff (especially the breakfast lady!) and a great location. I probably should have researched first to spot live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. That wasn’t that much of an issue as over by 22.30 (both bands were pretty good to be fair) but the rowdy hen party on Saturday kept us awake long after the band had finished. “

„We had the most amazing stay at gara rock . The place is beautiful and set in amazing beachside settings with breathtaking views. Everything is exceptional, the hotel, the setting, the food and the staff. They really made the stay fantastic as they went above and beyond to accommodate you and make sure you have the best stay. They were so friendly and helpful every single one of them. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be returning! “

„Schönes Gebäude, aber die Zimmer waren sehr klein und dunkel. Absolut nicht vergleichbar zu deutschen Verhältnissen ist der Spa: Viel zu wenig Liegestühle oder Ablagemöglichkeiten, auch die Saunen sehr klein. Sehr ärgerlich war auch, dass uns beim Einchecken mitgeteilt wurde, dass Kinder unter 16 Jahren nicht ins Schwimmbad dürfen. Das war bei der Buchung nirgends ersichtlich. Alles in allem ist das den hohen Preis nicht wert.“
