We spent a few days at this cabin for my mom's 75th birthday, and she loved it! The view from the balcony is second to none -- sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, the patio furniture is comfortable, and the hot tub is soothing!
The cabin is situated at the top of 4 steep switchbacks, but the road is paved all the way up -- it's only a surprise if you're not prepared for it, but it gets better after the first time.
The only drawbacks we experienced were (1) intermittent communication from the property manager and (2) a lack of cleanliness.
Re: communication... the first night we were in the cabin, I messaged the property manager, and they responded right away. Based on their response, I knew that, standing in the cabin, my text messages were leaving my phone and arriving at theirs fine. On subsequent days, however, I would send the property manager additional questions, and their answers would be delayed by a day or more.
Re: cleanliness, the kitchen utensils, pot holders, and other surfaces were unclean. The listing explicitly states to "make sure all remote controls are accounted for", but my dad found a remote control and pencil in the cushions of one of the lazy boys -- not exactly cleaned as you'd expect. The listing also states that each bathroom has a hair dryer, but we only found one in the house.
Overall, we had a great experience. The cabin is within 20 minutes of the grocery store, Smokey Mountain National Park, and other large tourist trap towns.
