Seasonal Lake Information for Your Stay
Summer (May - Mid-September): The lake is typically fullest during this period. Guests will have access to Blackwood Lodge's private dock for their enjoyment. The neighborhood also has a 'beach' with additional access to the lake.

Fall/Winter (Mid-September - late April): The TVA controls the water levels for Douglas Lake. In the fall and winter months, they lower the water level, rendering the dock at Blackwood Lodge unusable. Blackwood Lodge's rental rates are priced accordingly throughout the year to account for the lost lake amenity. There are plenty of hiking trails and even a petting zoo in the neighborhood, along with the nearby attractions of Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. The house has a heated indoor pool, hot tub, plenty of outdoor spaces with two fire pits and corn hole, stocked board games, arcade games, and plenty of fun.
