„Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! As others have mentioned, Fred and the front team at Hotel Mar/Don Taco where you check in are really nice and helpful, they take you around to the secluded house that is owned by the brother of the hotel owner. You can park on site for free and it’s safe. 400m down to town where nice restaurants are available. Close by shops also for everything you need. „We had a terrific stay at Casa Del Bosque. The view of the volcano and gardens from the bedroom and porch was incredible. You can hear the river that runs right by the house while sitting on the porch in the morning and evenings. It was a great location to enjoy all the activities around La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano.
