"Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth – Gunwharf Quays. Besonders positiv war unser großes, sauberes und modernisiertes Zimmer. Die Lage ist ein echter Pluspunkt: Der Hafen mit den Sehenswürdigkeiten von Portsmouth ist schnell zu Fuß erreichbar, und das Hotel liegt direkt am Gunwharf-Quays-Outlet-Center. Dadurch eignen sich Unterkunft und Umgebung sowohl für einen Städtetrip als auch für Shopping sehr gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr umfangreich und bot eine große Auswahl. Qualitativ empfanden wir es allerdings als eher durchschnittlich. Insbesondere der Kaffee aus dem Automaten wirkte auf uns, als würde gefriergetrocknetes Kaffeepulver verwendet – hier wäre eine bessere Kaffeequalität wünschenswert. Insgesamt eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft wegen Zimmer, Sauberkeit und hervorragender Lage; beim Frühstück sollte man jedoch keine besonders hohe Qualität erwarten."
