„Das "The Bridge Inn" ist eindeutig empfehlenswert. Ich habe für den Zustand nur eine mittlere Bewertungen gegeben da die Aussenterasse mit ein paar Blumen ganz schnell verschönert werden könnte. Ansonsten hat das Inn alles was wir davon erwarten.“

„A beautiful hotel . Lovely staff nothing too much trouble very clean lovely bedroom with tea/coffee making facilities.. they even put a tv out In the courtyard so guests could watch the FA cop final !! Will definitely be back !“

„A nice friendly hotel, would definitely come back. Excellent facilities, comfortable bed. Very good breakfast. The hotel is well situated just a couple of minutes from the town. The owner and the staff are very welcoming. “

„What an amazing, unique property with bags of character, we stayed in the Langdale suite which was ideal as a dog friendly room. Greg on reception was very helpful and knowledgeable, and a lovely welcome at breakfast from James. Highly recommended for a quiet escape from busy lives.. “

„A lovely hotel in a beautiful location with great staff, what's not to like ! The food and service in the restaurant was top notch but the dining room itself could do with 'softening' a little' - some art on the walls would be our suggestion! But that's a minor quibble , we will be back :-)“

„Schreckliche Erfahrung! Es war sehr hellhörig, in einem schlechten Zustand und dreckig. Die Fotos spiegeln nicht die Realität wieder. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist schlecht (ca. 140€ pro Nacht). Keine Hygieneartikel vorhanden, Fenster lässt sich nicht komplett schließen. Ein Ansprechpartner war nicht erreichbar. Das WLAN funktioniert nur eingeschränkt. Man fühlt sich sehr unwillkommen (die Hausregeln wie kein Take-Out Essen erwecken einen negativen Eindruck). Wir ...

„Had a good time there. The reception team was nice, however the concierge was very reserved and had its "favourite" guests. Not a good approach for a concierge and left a bad after taste. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. You even have to pay for special coffee drinks wich as cappuccino... Also not okay for a hotel in this pirce category. Rooms were modern and nice.“

„The hotel was in a superb location with the ferry and steam train nearby to enable us to explore the lakes. The hotel was spotless and the staff extremely friendly. The food was top notch and service fantastic! They have got the ambience of the hotel off to a tee. Lovely subtle background music and warm inviting features and decor. The spa was the icing on the cake. Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in. “

„Beautiful scenic location. Hotel condition and all furnishing as new. Room extremely comfortable. Staff impeccable, not to be faulted. Food superb. Bar prices high. Lounge a bit bright…. Need table lamps rather than ceiling lights to give better ambience. Overall excellent.“

„The rooms are located on the floor above the public bar and eating areas. You can book an evening meal if required. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with no disturbance. Nice breakfast served by friendly staff.“

„First time visiting windermere and booked this hotel for me and the Mr and it did not disappoint! Was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were modern and well decorated and the hot tub in with steam room was just perfect! We enjoyed the breakfast and loved the fact the hotel was not far from the lake. We would definitely stay here again “

„Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre leider schon hinter sich. Im Bad gibt es eine sehr laute Pumpe, die sich jedes Mal wenn der Wasserhahn aufgedreht oder die Spülung betätigt wird, einschaltet. In der charmanten Bar standen am späten Nachmittag noch Flaschen und benutzte Gläser vom Vorabend auf den Tischen, und der Fernseher beschallte den ganzen Raum. Das Abendessen im Salon war gut, die Portionen leider winzig im Verhältnis zum Preis. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich.“

"Außenanlagen, äußeres Erscheinungsbild sehr gepflegt, sehr schönes, viktorianischesGebäude. Fenster nur minimal zu öffnen, Aussicht auf Mülltonnen, Badezimmer renovierungsbedürftig. Abendessen, 3- Gang- Menu akzeptabel, aber Preis- Leistungs - Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Die oben angeführten Kritikpunkte werden wahrscheinlich relativiert bei schönem Wetter durch die landschaftlich herrliche Umgebung und die damit verbundenen vielfältigen Freizeitmöglichkeiten Wir hatten bei unserem Aufenthalt im August leider das Pech wegen des extrem schlechten Wetters - ca 14 Grad, Regen und starkem Wind- praktisch nichts im Freien unternehmen zu können. "
