„This Hilton has rooms which are clean and quiet, beds are good but no option to ventilate the room. The restaurant facilities can’t be worse: at opening time of the restaurant we ordered food and 10 minutes later you are told to order something else because they ran out of it. As we had chosen something else, the response was: “Is THAT all, you want nothing else?” In a very arrogant way. Then they even expect a tip afterwards. „Das imposante Gebäude liegt in einem großen Gelände, die Zufahrt von der Strasse bis zum Hotel ist ca 500m. Im alten Teil des Hotels ist das Ambiente sehr eindrucksvoll! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer liegen im angebauten neuen Trackt, sind sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, die Klimaanlage ist nicht hörbar, das Marmor-Bad ist groß und sauber. „Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover.“

„Probleme werden nicht gut gelöst, kein Bemühen um Ausgleich. Das erste Zimmer roch nach Rauch (Antwort Personal: ja, das kann sein, der Vorgänger im Zimmer musste eine Strafe für rauchen zahlen), darauf hin ein Behinderten-gerechtes Zimmer mit Problem im Duschablauf). Das war nicht das einzige Problem im Bad, aber das Personal am Morgen war uninteressiert und nicht hilfsbereit.
