„We were a bit confused by this hotel. This is a luxury boutique hotel that didn’t really feel like a luxury hotel. The staff were nice which is expected but didn’t go out of their way for us. The location is excellent and our room had a beautiful view of the Portofino piazza but the windows all had signs saying “please keep windows closed”. Our room furnishings were standard. "We stayed two nights in the luxury suite in the hotel annex. Whilst I was initially concerned having already booked the hotel, and then read many of the reviews, I cannot complain about the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean, modern and stylish. Yes, they are close to the train station, yes they are in a dense, residential apartment block. That said, we were there to see Santa Margherita and Portofino. No issues at all with noise during the night. Breakfast was great, welcoming and attentive service, secure parking and excellent concierge service. May be some guests, based on some reviews are setting different expectations for a 5 star hotel. If you are looking for a “hotel” holiday with piano bars, private beaches and grandiose buildings, may be this boutique hotel is not what you are expecting. That said, this hotel feels fairly priced and I would return."

"Da momentan ein Gerüst aufgebaut war, hatten wir wenig Tageslicht im Zimmer, zudem war das eine Fenster mit dem Vorhang zugezogen, da der Putz an der Wand im Zimmer evtl. neu gemacht werden musste und somit die Stelle kaschiert werden musste. Wir hätten gemäß Buchung eine Flasche Sekt bei der Ankunft erhalten sollen, was aber nicht der Fall war. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstücksbuffet war auch lecker und vielfältig."

"simply the best. stayed many times in all the 5 stars of the area.... and most of them our very high standard. but even in a strong field like this, this hotel stands-out. this became our favorite and we keep coming back. special thanks to the most welcoming concierge team, Giacommo and Alessandro"
