6 night stay week of June 8th in an Executive Suite ocean front. We’ve traveled to Puerto Rico many times since the early 90’s. First time here. Mostly positive and nice, maybe not as cohesive resort as we had hoped.
Pros:
5 miles from airport, great location, nice sandy beach, beach chairs/umbrellas/tables setup complimentary, updated lively open lobby, two pools, complimentary towels, beach access locked at night, staff helpful, easy walk to restaurants and convenience stores, nearly all the staff were very friendly to us, loved the mats and steps to and from the beach.
Cons:
Beach here is a bit choppy with a lot of sand churn.
No one had a link to all the events. Post a large daily QR code in multiple areas.
Outlet beside the bed was partially hidden.
Very dim rooms
Door to bathroom was frosted glass so a light lit up the whole bedroom
Our teen used the pull out sofa…horrible mattress and squeaky!
We booked through Expedia so resort fees had to be paid at the hotel.
We never saw nor heard anything extra for Bonvoy members.
Need a place to hang wet bathing suits and items to dry.
“Weed” was openly being sold and smoked on the beach in front of Marriott security, staff & lifeguards.
Constant lifeguard whistle all week motioning people away from the rocks…how about a sign instead or marked off area?
Concierge needs an update on things to do in Puerto Rico.
Pool cabanas should be removed.
Get better wrist bands that slide on/off not just tighten.
