Sooo...let me say right off the bat, this place is AWESOME for those that are looking for a real Puerto Rico local experience! The home itself was PERFECT! Ryan and Carrie really have furnished this place for that "Home Away From Home" feel! The AC system worked great and kept the whole house nice and chilled. The decor and colors all over the house give you that Boriqua feel and you just feel that Puerto Rico vibe in the home. The bedrooms were nice & colorful, down to the bedspreads, with the banana's and guacamoles! Living room was perfect sitting area to watch a little TV or just sit around and enjoy family, food and drinks. The BIG plus for us was the kitchen...it had EVERYTHING we needed to prep and cook meals while we were there. The feelilng of being in a secured place was always there witht the gated areas to get into the home and the fencing around it, I'll get it to that a little more when I discuss location. The backyard was AWESOME spot to chill with the family, turn the grill on, let the bluetooth speaker plays some tunes and had some very nice spots to take pics. Whether you were sitting at the picnic table, standing against the back wall, swinging on the swings or hanging in the hammock, they were all definitely photo ops to take! Location was something most would be discouraged from but for us it was GREAT! You got to understand you are in a local neighborhood, with the LOCALS!! I walked around the neighborhood and people were all welcoming and nice. There a little tiendita, small store, across the street from the home and the lady who worked there, her name was Bienvenida, was welcoming everytime I went to get something from her. At night the street is busy with cars and motorcycles driving by, music going on a night and people talking & laughing as they enjoy the night, it was great! For those looking to sleep early, I would suggest ear plugs but those who want to get the full experience, go and enjoy with the locals. Going to San Juan was a short drive, we were there for a National wrestling meet and it was only a 10 min drive to the Puerto Rico Convention Center. You can easily get to the San Juan main attractions, bars, beaches, restaurants, breweries areas day or night! If we had any questions, Carrie and Ryan would answer quickly and get us the information we needed. Overall the home was exceptional for us for our stay near San Juan.
