The hotel is in a very beautiful place of all you want to do is enjoy the nature. But it's too far away from everything else. It's super expensive if you want to go to Flores or Tikal. The shuttle bus from the hotel is 3 times more expensive than a local taxi without reason and is more like taking advantage of the "ignorance" of the tourists. And it's like that through out all services and food. We had to even pay the coffe. The food, water and minibar where 3 or 4 times more expensive than in a store in the next village. I know minibar is usually more expensive in the hotel....but this was simply outrageous! I'm half local and my feeling was that they simply take advantage of the tourists charging much more than they should.

The hotel is brand new, the rooms and facilities are great. It has a nice pool area and a good bar/restaurant. It's probably the best value for money in the whole area of Flores. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Tepeú. The only disadvantage is the location: you need around 5-10 minutes by tuktuk to get to the island with most bars and restaurants. In the area around the hotel there is absolutely nothing to do.
