Casa Armonía is perched on a small hill off a quiet street just up from the main road that leads to Carillo beach from Samara. As you turn onto our small road there are motion detector lights to help with visibility for walking or driving. The property is 3/4 of an acre. You enter the house from the bottom of the hill through a locked automatic gate which is opened with a keypad or remote. There is an attached pedestrian gate also locked with a keypad. From here, there is a lit staircase guiding you home. The driveway is short but steep. In the rainy season an all-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. The hill gets your heart pumping a bit but is the key to town-living with a view (very rare for an in-town Samara dwelling).

At the top of the hill is a spacious entrance to a covered 2 car garage. You can enter the house through a ramp leading to the garage door-this has keyless entry. The main home and guest entrance is the front of the villa from the pool deck which has a few stairs. The elegant single-floor design showcases a large poolside covered deck with lounge chairs and sofas. The great room and 3 bedrooms wrap around the pool with sliding glass door entry all around. There is an upper level outdoor terrace above the garage for superior views, grilling and relaxation with a tiled stairwell off the poolside deck. The ample outdoor spaces flow seamlessly into the indoor spaces optimizing your Costa Rican paradise adventure.

The main room off the pool has an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, air conditioning and fans and provides pool views from the living, dining and kitchen areas. The gourmet kitchen is spacious and fully equipped for cooking a 4 course meal, brewing morning java or anything in between. There is a dishwasher, large refrigerator with an automatic ice machine. The custom designed dining table seats 8.

There is a laundry room off the kitchen that leads to the garage with a washer/drier and it also houses the solar system to provide a more ecologically efficient environment. During the day, the villa runs solely on solar energy then batteries supply some of the overnight power depending on usage.

Thoughtfully designed gardens surround the house and pool with tropical plants hardy enough to withstand the heat of the summer and rains in the wet season. They line the path to the back yard where a half-bath and outdoor teak and tiled shower allow pool guests to stay outdoors for all of their needs. The backyard has a private lookout nook that is particularly magnificent at sunset. The backyard garden is also accessible by two queen bedrooms from their sliding glass doors. The middle bedroom with twin beds has a window overlooking the back garden.

Samara is a laid back, family friendly beach town that welcomes tourists from around the world. Many of the tour guides speak 3-5 languages and lots of locals are bi or trilingual creating more opportunities to connect with others as you travel. The dining around town is fabulous with homemade Italian pastas, sushi, local Tico cuisine, Falafel, vegan and vegetarian options galore and of course seafood delights abound.
