A charming house with 9 bedrooms upstairs (sleeps max 20), each with their own private bathroom. A 10th bedroom, with an ensuite, can be created on the ground floor for an extra cost.A self-contained annex at the back of the house, with a kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and ensuite bathroom, can be let for an extra cost. Cots and a toddler bed are available.
Eclectic, English country decor with generous ground floor living spaces including a large kitchen that centres around the Aga, a drawing room, a dining room (seating for 5 to 25 people), a sitting room, a library with a private bathroom and shower (for people or dogs!), a laundry room and a basement games room.
There are extensive private gardens including outdoor dining for up to 24 people, and a lovely walled "secret garden" next to the house with a large lawn area for sunbathing, reading and relaxing.
There is a hot tub next to the house, for use all year round, and emptied between guests.
"The Glade" sits behind an old Yew tree perfect for climbing, and it is a hidden playground for children with a trampoline, swings, sandpit, playhouse and picnic area. Nestled between the driveway hedges and the walled garden, the Glade would go unnoticed by those visiting without children.
A 1.5km woodland path, the "Groggie Way", has been created behind the house and is suitable for walking, wheelchairs, bicycles, etc. It passes the tennis court, which can be used for tennis, pickle ball, or for children to ride bikes and scooters.
The front of the house has a large flat lawn which can be used for cartwheels, sprinting races and other games. Equipment supplied includes two large football nets, cricket set, croquet set, giant Jenga, mini golf and more.
There is a basement with a snooker/pool table and toys/books for younger children.
Other group activities are available on site on request and at additional cost such as sauna, cold plunge, laser clay shooting, sound bath, yoga, pilates, wine tasting, Masterchef competition, and other group games like Murder Mystery or Traitors.
You will be able to access the entire house. There are large exclusive gardens around the house. There are tenants in some smaller properties around the estate, including The Annexe attached to the rear of the house, but there is sound insulation, band there are no common or shared areas between then Manor House and The Annexe. They each have their own driveway and entrance. No estate tenants haven access to the main house or its gardens, which are private and strictly for the main house guests. It is marked clearly where property is private and where the boundaries are for guests.
There are stables and a field available for guests wanting to bring a horse or pony, which is by separate agreement with the livery. The livery is not operated by the owners of the house and we do not accept any responsibility for guests using this service.
It is sometimes possible to arrange pony rides for guests or there is a formal pony club 2 mins drive away which offers excellent "own a pony" days for beginners or beyond, and also "safaris" on horseback along the Salisbury Plains.

We stayed here from 17th–19th April for my sister’s hen do - a group of 20, with a few extra joining us for a catered lunch on the Saturday. The location is ideal, just off the A303 but far enough away for privacy, peace and quiet. The house completely exceeded our expectations. Every room is beautifully finished and feels considered. The living spaces are thoughtfully designed, with TVs discreetly tucked away and speakers that made it easy to have music playing throughout. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, with everything you’d need for a large group. A separate nook with extra fridge space and a dishwasher was a real bonus, and the serving hatch through to the dining room made hosting and clearing up far easier than expected. We made full use of the hot tub and tennis court, both of which were in excellent condition. We were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time enjoying the seating areas on both sides of the house. We hired a company to host a game of Traitors and managed to do this sat outside in the sunshine. The grounds are stunning, surrounded by open countryside with horses in nearby fields. There are plenty of footpaths for walks or runs, which added to the whole experience. The host and team were fantastic throughout and collated a brilliant document of recommendations for caterers, activities and much more. Would HIGHLY recommend for a special occasion or group getaway.
