Villa Il Forte was at the origin (century 13/14) a fortified position, elements of which have come to light, such as the colonnade surrounding the courtyard and the walls of the tower structure, elements that have made possible a particularly refined restoration and the creation of environments of charm. The villa can easily accommodate 16 people (12 pax main villa plus 4 pax adjacent dependence) in luxurious comfort and it is situated near to San Donato in Collina, only 14 km from Florence.

ACCOMMODATION: Villa Il Forte can easily accommodate 16 people (12 in the main villa plus 4 in the adjacent dependence) in luxurious comfort. The villa and the dependence are entirely equipped with ecological, sustainable energy sources, as solar cells for electricity and geothermic system for heating and refreshment of air.

The villa is divided in 3 floors: on the ground floor there is a professional kitchen with direct access to a covered pergola with BBQ, pizza oven and table and chairs. On the same floor there is a large dining room, a sitting room with flat screen, a Lobby (85 sqm) with piano (reception, sitting room, conference room or eating room), a bathroom with shower and a service bathroom. The ground floor hosts also a king size bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub.

On the first floor there are a triple bedroom (one double + one single or three single beds) with ensuite bathroom with bathtub, a double bedroom (or two single beds, on request) with ensuite bathroom with shower, a double bedroom (or two single beds, on request) with ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub, a single bedroom with bathroom next door with shower.
On the mezzanine floor you will find another sitting room with flat screen and DVD.

On the second floor there is a king size bedroom with big bathroom divided in two by a sliding door: first part with the lavabo and the second part with WC and shower.

Adjacent to the villa there is a dependence (80 mq) with sitting room with kitchen on the ground floor. On the first floor there are a double bedroom (or two single beds, on request) with bathroom next door with shower and a king size bedroom with ensuite bathroom with bathtub.

Services/Experiences: A trusted chef can be hired to prepare breakfasts, dinners, pizza parties or cooking classes upon request. Other services such as drivers, Chianti wine tour, guided tours of Florence, horseback riding, portrait and family portrait photo shoot can be booked during your stay. Please note: Refreshment of air produced by geothermal energy. That means that the air will be refreshed circa 10-12 degrees lower than the outside temperature. E.g., outside is 30 °C / in the house about 19-20 °C.

GARDEN AND SWIMMING POOL: The swimming pool (6 x 12 meters and deep from 1,20 to 2,80 meters) is open from April to October. For children safety the pool has been completely fenced with a wooden railing and a gate.

Connected with the kitchen, you find a gazebo organized for dining al fresco or just relaxing with BBQ and pizza oven. The area around the villa is arranged as a country garden, including centuries old olive trees.

Fitness House (available only from May 01 to September 30): this area is located in a separate building, about 50 meters from the villa, and consists of a hot tub, sauna, and some gym equipment. It must be booked in advance and the additional cost is €150 per day + €100 final cleaning fee. ***** NEW SEASON 2026 ***** - Fitness House: from season 2026 it will be included in the price and for the exclusive use of the villa. This area will offer a sauna, gym equipment and a massage room. The hot tub will NO LONGER be available from 2026.
