The Garden House is a bright, generously sized studio with one large comfortable room and a clean, well-appointed bathroom. Big windows draw in natural light, and the walled garden setting means complete privacy — no shared walls, no passing foot traffic, just birdsong and green space right outside your door. It's designed for slowing down: reading in the morning light, coming back from a day of exploring to total quiet, and falling asleep somewhere that feels genuinely different from a standard hotel room.

Barmeath Castle sits on a wooded hillside in County Louth, and the guest wing gives you the run of grounds most visitors never get to see. The estate includes a walled garden, ornamental garden buildings, woodland, and shelter belts, with fine views to the east. The gardens span over ten acres and overlook Dundalk Bay, with the original layout credited to landscape designer Thomas Wright, who came to Ireland in 1745. Barmeath has been Bellew family land since the 12th century, making it one of the longer continuously held estates in Ireland. The current house blends a medieval tower house with a later Georgian building, and the demesne survived a period of neglect in the early 20th century before being revived from 1938 onward.
