Featuring four fully contained, private suites, Hemlock, Cedar, Sitka & Heron, it's perfectly located between Powell River & Lund. Explore kayaking, mountain biking & climbing, fishing, hiking, or wander beaches, visit breweries & browse artisan markets.

Then return to wellness and calm: soak in the hot tub, book the sauna (extra), or gather at the beach fire pit. A tranquil retreat to recharge and reconnect.

Welcome to the Cedar Suite, a fully private 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat on the lower level of our beachfront house.

With a full kitchen, inviting living spaces, and a fireplace for cozy storm-watching evenings, Cedar is ideal for couples or groups seeking comfort and tranquility.

Surrounded by 1.2 acres of lush greenery and offering beautiful ocean views with the mountains of Vancouver Island beyond, Cedar provides a serene base for your coastal escape.

📌 Please Note: The Cedar Suite is located below the Hemlock Suite in house #3935. While the building is well-insulated, some sound from above may be heard. We ask all guests to be mindful of noise to ensure a peaceful stay for everyone.

As your hosts, we’re available to ensure you have a comfortable and memorable stay. We respect your privacy but are always just a message away.

Guests enjoy full access to all of Arbutus Cove Retreat’s outdoor amenities.

Shared spaces include the beach area, sunset deck, BBQ pergola, and cozy fire pit.

The oceanfront hot tub is available by appointment, while our glass-panel sauna can be reserved as an optional add-on for $15/hour. Refresh with the outdoor shower and invigorating bucket splash, or take a rejuvenating plunge into the ocean.

We also provide a Level 2 EV charger (240V) for guests arriving with electric vehicles. To ensure availability, the charger must be reserved in advance through our website. A fee is applied when booking the EV charger.

Please note: advance booking via our website is required for the hot tub, sauna, and EV charger to guarantee availability, privacy, and a personalized experience.

We live on the property and available to offer any help when needed.

Parking is available on the property, in front of the suites.

Habour Air has started flying between downtown Vancouver and Powell River! Powell River dock is located on Powell Lake, adjacent to The Shinglemill Pub and Bistro, approximately 10-minute drive to the city-centre of Powell River. Check-in at the reception of the Shinglemill Pub and Bistro.

Our luxurious sauna is available as an optional add-on to your stay. To ensure a private and rejuvenating experience, we offer pre-booked sessions at an additional fee. Please inquire upon booking to reserve your preferred time

Although Powell River is on the mainland, it will require a couple of ferry rides (Horseshoe Bay to Langdale and Earl's Cove to Saltery Bay) to get to it because it is not directly linked with the rest of the provincial road network.

In the summer months it’s a good idea to make a ferry reservation from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale. Reservations are not available on the 2nd leg, from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay.

If you’re planning on swimming is a good idea to bring water shoes.

Arbutus Cove Retreat is pet friendly, however, please note the property is not fenced in. A pet fee is charged, in order to cover additional charges for cleaning.
