Sunridge Cube 1 is part of Sunridge Retreats, our small collection of unique countryside stays in the beautiful South Hams in Devon.

If Cube 1 is fully booked on your requested dates, please check our separate listing for Sunridge Cube 2. We also have Sunridge Geodome, Sunridge Lodge and Sunridge EcoPod, each with its own private hot tub.

VRBO doesn’t support video tours in every listing format, but a quick search for Sunridge Retreats will provide videos and a better feel for Cube 1’s layout, setting and features.

🏡 SUNRIDGE CUBE 1

This isn’t a pod. This isn’t a cabin. This is a CUBE!

Cube 1 is a bespoke contemporary holiday retreat, clad in grey composite and tucked into its own private pocket of Devon countryside.

Inside, high 3-metre ceilings, a feature skylight and large bifold doors create a surprisingly spacious open-plan living area, while outside you have your own private hot tub, deck, picnic bench, private lawned garden and an additional upper sun deck with loungers.

Cube 1 is ideally suited to couples but can accommodate up to 4 guests.

Step through the bifold doors into a bright, contemporary open-plan space with lofted ceilings and a large skylight above the elevated sleeping area.

The bifold doors open directly onto the private deck and countryside beyond, making Cube 1 feel connected to its peaceful surroundings.

🍽️ FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN

The contemporary kitchen includes:

✔ Under-counter fridge with freezer compartment
✔ Slimline dishwasher
✔ Nespresso coffee machine

A few basic starter essentials are provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own favourite Nespresso pods and supplies.

🛏️ SLEEPING & BEDDING

The main sleeping area sits above the bathroom and is reached by a short set of steps.

It includes:

✔ King-size mattress
✔ Smart HDTV
✔ Views across the main Cube and feature skylight

Bedding, pillows and standard bathroom towels are provided for 2 guests using the main king sleeping area.

For 3rd and 4th guests, two self-inflating single airbeds are provided on the ground floor. Guests using the additional beds should bring their own bedding, pillows and bathroom towels.

Additional guest fees apply for 3rd and 4th guests.

Please also bring older towels for hot tub use, as chlorine may mark or discolour the bathroom towels provided.

🎬 PRIVATE CINEMA EXPERIENCE

One of Cube 1’s biggest surprises is its enormous home cinema.

A 4K Ultra HD 3D projector creates an image around 4 metres across the opposite Cube wall, turning the main living area into your own private cinema.

Cube 1 has particularly generous private outdoor space.

The upper garden and sun deck are exclusive to Cube 1 guests and make this Cube especially attractive for guests wanting a little more private outdoor space.

The surrounding countryside is home to squirrels, birds and other local wildlife, so don’t be surprised if you have a few curious visitors during your stay.

🔥 For fire safety, barbecues, disposable barbecues, campfires, firepits and other outdoor naked flames are not permitted anywhere on site.

Please note that some older photographs may still show barbecue equipment previously supplied at the retreat. Barbecues are no longer provided or permitted on site, and these older images will be updated as our photography is refreshed over the coming months.

🛁 PRIVATE HOT TUB

Your private hot tub is exclusively for Cube 1 guests.

Lie back beneath the trees and enjoy the bubbles, whether it’s a sunny afternoon or a cool evening under the stars.

Please bring older towels for hot tub use.

🐾 DOG-FRIENDLY

Cube 1 welcomes up to 2 well-behaved dogs. Pet fees apply.

Please bring dog blankets to protect sofas and furnishings, and dogs must not be left unattended inside Cube 1.

Cube 1 is particularly popular with dog owners because of its larger private lawned area and additional upper deck.

📍 LOCATION

Sunridge Cube 1 is set in the South Hams countryside in Devon, within easy reach of the Salcombe coast, Dartmoor National Park, local beaches and excellent countryside pubs.

It’s a peaceful base for couples, small families, friends, walkers, beach days, cinema nights and hot tub escapes.

🚗 PARKING & ACCESS

Private parking is a short walk (20 metres) from Cube 1, on the left before the tree stump and gravel walkway.

Self check-in details and full parking directions are provided before arrival.
