Perfect spot for our group of 6 high school friends, six women who were all amazed by the well-stocked kitchen. Sarah has carefully kept valuable, unopened items from previous guests so there are many surprises. I especially appreciated Saran Wrap, baggies, etc. being on hand. We took full advantage of all games, bocce ball a favorite. Hitting pickleballs into the jacuzzi another one. The pool service came twice in the week we were there, much appreciated since it was hot and we used the pool constantly.All the Tv's and lights and fans worked fine, and Sarah was quick to return calls when we had questions. Water pressure and ice maker were heroic.There is a small school neighboring the property. It wasn't until the 5th day of our trip that it got noisy for a little while when they did some outdoor event w/ bullhorns. No big deal.Sarah, your notebook full of suggestions was great. Suggest you add Ocean 44 and Olive & Ivy for dining and take off La Fonda Mexican. Great property, hope to return! Thank you for your attention to details.

Perfect home for our family of 8! Sarah was extremely helpful and always available to assist if we had a question. Beautiful back yard oasis, even better than the pictures! Our older kids (ages 17-23) loved playing on the basketball and pickleball court. We elected to have the pool heated and it was perfect - even in January! One of our best stays ever!! Can't wait to come back!

We had the best vacation! We had flight issues getting there and Sarah was so easy to work with then and throughout our whole stay. The house was perfect for our family. We spent the majority of our time outside swimming, playing pickleball, bocci, ping pong, and golfing. We also enjoyed the fire pit and grill many nights! We loved the heated pool with kids! The house was wonderful and had everything we needed for what we wanted to cook. It’s a great neighborhood! We walked every morning and loved checking out the different houses. It’s not far from a grocery store, coffee shop, or the Scottsdale quarter! I would recommend this property to anyone! We can’t wait to visit again!

This house was perfect, truly not one single complaint. Check in and communication was a breeze, house was spotless, beds were comfortable, back yard and pool was amazing! Location, location , location! So close to all the good shopping, food and restaurants, hiking, mountain biking, and casino! My family of 7 stayed and we’re not crowed at all. The house was so well stocked. We were told there was a portable playpen for my granddaughter and there was, however there was also a baby bath, booster seats to sit at the table, swim diapers, kids pool toys and floats, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, laundry detergent. Tons of spices, olive oil, etc for cooking. Grill worked great, spa heated up very quickly, and great showers. All smart tv’s plus direct tv. You won’t be disappointed by this house.

What an amazing experience!

We stayed in a beautiful home in Scottsdale, AZ. Everything was as advertised. The back yard was a true retreat. There are activities for all ages ... and lots of them. Our kids never wanted to leave the house. The salt water pool and hot tub are amazing. Everything was immaculate. It was such an easy stay. The home was fully stocked with everything you would need or want for a short or longer term stay. I would recommend this property to anyone that enjoys luxury, comfort, convenience and easy access to everything. Sarah was by far the most accommodating host I've ever worked with. On top of everything, fast communication and definitely wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could!

Great House!

This was a great house for our family. We enjoy visiting Scottsdale each year. We rent a new house each time and this was one of the family favorites. Sarah is amazing! Great communication and very responsive. The home is wonderful, very clean and in a great location for what we like to do. The yard was truly the highlight for our family. So many amenities and provided tons of entertainment for our adult kids and teenagers. We will be back for sure.

Perfect House for Family

This was a great house for our 9 member/ 3 generation family group. The location was very convenient to see the sights in Scottsdale. All the facilities at the house provided plenty of entertainment for the family members. Communication by the manager was outstanding. One of the best houses that my family has rented.

Great house, great yard, great location

We stayed for a week over Christmas. The house was spacious, very clean, well-equipped and beautifully decorated for Christmas. We spent a great deal of time in the fab backyard playing mini golf, corn hole, ping pong, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. All of the beds were very comfy. The host, Sarah, was terrific - very responsive.

This property is absolutely beautiful! It was super clean, and well appointed. The kitchen had everything one would need and the backyard was over-the-top with all the fun-filled activities. It’s just as the pictures show except, in person, it was more spacious inside and out. The manager of the property (Sarah) was very accommodating and always available. Perfect home for a family to enjoy!!

This is the second house of Sarah’s properties in Scottsdale that we have stayed at. Our entire family (3 generations) stayed at her house with activities galore in its backyard (pool, hot tub, pickleball, basketball, fire pit, bocce ball, treehouse, cornhole, etc). The house is beautiful and in great shape but having Sarah as the host makes it all even better because of how responsive she is to questions and requests! We will always look first at one of her properties if we are looking to stay in Scottsdale or in Breckenridge. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful property!

This property was wonderful. We came for the waste management PGA tour. We were about 10 minutes from the stadium, and 15 from old town Scottsdale. Everything was at our fingertips. Sara (property manager/owner) was wonderful! She checked in to see when we would he arriving, and during our stay to make sure everything was going as we needed/wanted. She had everything ready for our stay right down to a book full of details on places to visit, eat, golf, spas, etc. the house was beautiful and very clean! Very comfortable beds. The backyard was a little oasis in heaven! The pool and spa was wonderful and refreshing, we played pickle ball, pinging, corn hole, and basketball. We spent most of our evenings in the back yard just relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We will definitely be staying here again!

Perfect family vacation getaway

My in-laws and I decided to do an early Christmas getaway in Phoenix this year. Sarah's Modern Retreat was the perfect home and location! The home was lovely and had everything we needed. There were plenty of family-friendly games to play during the day in the backyard, as well as board games to play in the evenings. Location-wise, you are very close to many restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to do something similar next year!

The Perfect Family Getaway!

This home was the perfect spot for our family which includes six adults and four boys, ages five to eleven. The kitchen is well appointed, allowing us to easily fix multiple meals; the living areas are spacious and relaxing, with plenty of board and card games for kids and adults alike; and the beds are cozy and comfortable. We slept like rocks. The best part of it all is the backyard. We all enjoyed swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub; sitting around the fire pit, identifying stars and watching for satellites going over; playing pickle ball and basketball; and eating around the outdoor dining table. While the adults enjoyed watching a few football games on the large outdoor TV on the patio, the boys enjoyed turning the two-story playhouse into a Boys’ Clubhouse. No adults and no girls allowed. Sarah, the host, had all the equipment we needed to do all the things, including beach towels to use after swimming. She asked us several times what she could do to make the place better for guests, and we couldn’t think of a thing. She’s a great host. We’ve stayed at many VRBOs, and this one stands out as one of the very best. We were all sad to have to leave. We will definitely book this property again!

Fantastic Family Fun!

This house is fantastic! In honor of my father-in-law’s milestone birthday, the East and West Coast parts of the family decided to meet up in Arizona. We ranged in age from eight to 85 years old — and this property was perfect for ALL of us! Sarah was an excellent host, truly going above and beyond to ensure our experience was fabulous. If you are looking to create great new memories with family or friends, we highly recommend renting this home.
