We booked a completely different apartment. The morning of the stay I was messaged that it was not available and they could “upgrade” us to an alternative apartment. I did not have a problem with that, although I was disappointed (the place we picked was more our style). They told me they could not contact me through WhatsApp because my number was not registered.. I use WhatsApp all the time. Somehow later in the day they were able to reach me through WhatsApp. Check in says 3 pm online but they told me I wouldn’t be able to check in until 6. However, they made sure I was out by 10 am on check out day. Communication for check in was terrible and the upgraded apartment was scary and old.. not at all like the original apartment we booked. We did not take a shower at all the second day (luckily we only stayed 2 nights) because we were getting shocked (like an electrical shock) from the water. I don’t know if this is an electrical issue due to old plumbing and electrical but it was scary and we couldn’t wait to get out of there. We honestly thought the place was haunted but whether it was or not I would not recommend. They really made our short stay in Palermo so stressful because our original garden apartment was not available and they pushed check in until 6 pm and we had no where to go with our luggage until then.
