PortaFelice Apt, Palazzo Amoroso

PortaFelice ist eine große (170 qm) und helle Wohnung im 5. Stock eines Gebäudes mit zeitgenössischer Architektur befindet sich in einem der schönsten Plätze im historischen Zentrum von Palermo. Die Wohnung verfügt über einen einzigartigen Blick auf das Meer und eine enorme private Terrasse für die ausschließliche Verwendung der Gäste.

Palazzo Amoroso, in Heiligem Geist Platz No. 10, 1974 abgeschlossen, ist ein Prestige-Projekt der berühmten BBPR Gruppe auf 3 Gelegenheiten die Möglichkeit hatte, in Palermo (Sitz der italienischen Commercial Bank und Büros des Giornale di Sicilia) zu arbeiten. Der Komplex erhebt sich aus der Asche eines früheren Barockschloss von den Bombardierungen des Zweiten Weltkrieges zerstört, die das Portal weise gehalten wird, geschickt in den neuen Prospekt eingebettet

Die komplett eingerichtete Wohnung mit hochwertigen Möbeln und ausgestattet mit dem, was für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt wird. Die wichtigsten Zimmer blicken auf die Terrasse der Wohnung, und dies führt zu dem wunderschönen Sonnenterrasse auf dem Dach des Gebäudes auf die ausschließliche Verwendung der Gäste bestimmt sind. Seine Lage bietet einen einzigartigen Blick auf die Porta Felice, auf der malerischen Brunnen der Seepferdchen, am Meer (Foro Italico) und den gesamten Golf von der Stadt.

Great accommodation in Palermo

Very large flat in quiet, outstanding location in Palermo. Right on the waterfront behind Porta Felice, only a few minutes walk to the city centre. The roof terrace and surrounding balcony are huge and great for relaxing. Communication with Giovanni and his mother was outstanding, extremely friendly and accommodating. The flat was super clean, very spacious and fully air conditioned. Even water and little things were prepared for us in the fridge. It couldn't have been better, we will be very happy to come back!

Ein wunderschönes Appartment in einem sehr interessanten Baudenkmal

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in dem Appartment verbracht. Giovanni ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und stets ansprechbarer Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Aber der Oberhammer ist natürlich die Dachterasse! Die Wohnung befindet sich im obersten Stockwerk eines auf den ersten Blick etwas unscheinbaren Hauses. Dieses ist jedoch architekturgeschichtlich überaus interessant. Giovanni wird auf Nachfrage bestimmt gerne hierzu einiges ausführen. Zu erwähnen ist noch, dass wir kein Wasser schleppen mussten. Eine kurze Nachricht an Giovanni genügte und es stand neues vor der Tür. Sehr angenehm. Ach ja: Der Flughafentransfer wird auf Wunsch auch von Giovanni organisiert, was sehr praktisch ist. Wir können die Wohnung nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

Spacious holiday flat with phenomenal roof terrace

The flat is very spacious and offers everything that makes a stay in Palermo pleasant. The welcome was very friendly, as well as the pre-organization and the abundant food available surprised us positively. The roof terrace with its wonderful view of the harbour entrance is worth a visit at any hour. One is in good hands on the two highest floors of the house above the lively Palermitan surroundings. We enjoyed the week in Palermo and in the flat very much and will gladly come again.

Amazing Accommodation In A Very Special City

What a beautiful and comfortable flat, what an amazing view on the sea and the city, what a marvelous roof-deck to enjoy a wine in the evening. Thank you, Marina, for your warm welcome with tasty wine and fresh flowers, as well as for your hospitality and your quick response to all of our questions. For eleven years, we 5 mid-agers from Germany are travelling to European cities, but this accommodation was a real highlight. It was so relaxing to enter in the evening after an interesting day in this old city with its morbid charm. To all fans of city sight-seeing our recommendation: If you are considering your next target - choose Palermo. If you are considering your lodging - choose this.

Giovanni was an attentive host from pre-booking all the way thru check-out. He was always available when we needed him and provided a lovely home. The place is HUGE. As a couple, we often got lost - lol. Originally booked for a larger group so would have been nice to share the apartment with more people so felt like a mansion for 2 people. Only thing for big groups to know is both bathrooms require access thru the bedrooms, so if you’re not close with the person in the 3rd bedroom coming thru your room to use the bathroom then this may not be for you. There were also some times when the street was loud at night but Giovani provided ear plugs if you need them. The beds were comfortable and we slept extremely well. Was also nice to have a secure parking space for our rental. I would highly recommend this apartment and would stay again.

Fantastic Stay at Porta Felice Apt

My wife and my grown son spent two weeks in Palermo and made this wonderful apartment our home base. Geovani arranged for us to be picked up at the airport by Vincenso (who we used several times for trips to Segesta and Agrigento.) The apartment is stunning: the view, the location, the museum quality furnishings. Everything was more than we expected. The location made it easy to get to the grocery store (a 5 minute walk to Famila) and to at least a dozen excellent coffee shops and restaurants in the vicinity. A 10 minute walk takes you to the redeveloped Palermo waterfront with its excellent new restaurants and promenade. It's maybe 15 minutes to walk to the Quatro Conti. The property itself could not have been nicer. Geovani and Marina (his mom) made sure we had coffee, ice (we American's have a thing about ice...) and basics. They arranged to have the place cleaned after week one, while we were out on an excursion.Can't say enough nice things about the apartment, the hosts and the location. We feel we got a bargain and would go there again.

The perfect apartment in Palermo

Giovanni's apartment was everything we needed for our 7 day stay in Palermo. Ideally located in the characterful old part of town whilst also having amazing views of the bustling harbour. Giovanni was a superb host; being ever helpful, knowledgable and considerate. The apartment could not be faulted in any way. It was extremely well equipped, spacious, comfortable and everything worked, including the excellent air conditioning. It is perhaps the best city centre apartment we've stayed in. Stop looking elsewhere! This unit is an exceptional spacious apartment. It is located right on Palermo Harbor and has a large private rooftop balcony for viewing harbor ships and activities. It is located right at the end of the exciting historical center so it is an easy walk to restaurants and visitor activities but not in the middle of the chaos! Giovanni is extremely welcoming and ensures that we had everything for a fun and safe adventure in Palermo.

Porta Felice stay

The location of Giovanni’s apartment was perfect with a beautiful view of the port and of the surrounding city of Palermo especially from the rooftop area attached. The apartment was super with everything you need to enjoy your stay in the wonderful city of Palermo. Giovanni’s mother greeted us and took us up to the apartment in the elevator. She showed us everything and even welcomed us with an assortment of goodies: Food, wine and water to start our stay! So nice!! We gave the main bedroom which has a fab view of the port to our friends (we are taking turns choosing). The apartment was built using quality materials and the architect was Giovanni’s grandfather! A short walk to wonderful restaurants and cafes and the Port. The only downsides were a leaking shower in the main. Our ensuite was fine but watch the direction of the shower spray. Some road noise and construction noise but it did not take away our pleasure staying there. Hopefully we will return one day.

This apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. It was extremely spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The roof terrace is enormous and provides a great view of the sea and port. The wi-fi, heating and hot water all worked well. The hosts were considerate and attentive. The location is in a historic area and there are many restaurants nearby. The neighbourhood felt safe and we had no concerns about going out in the evening. Highly recommended.

This apt is huge! The outside wrap around terrace leads you to a large rooftop terrace all your own! Giovanni is wonderful and provided us with a tour of the apt and upon entering we found wine, beer and snacks. The location is perfect! Wish we had booked it for much longer!

Perfect experience

Giovanni and Marina are premier hosts, the apartment was super organized and equipped. Location couldn’t have been better right on edge of Old Town and on the Sea. Location, Location, Location

This is the perfect place to stay in Palermo. The view from the terrace is unparalleled, the apartment is spacious, and well located to everything. The kitchen was one of the best stocked I've ever experienced in a short-term rental. Our host supplied complementary coffee, tea, crackers, wine, and generous amounts of bottled water. Our host was very communicative and responsive, arranged airport transfers for us, and was most gracious. If you are planning a visit to Palermo, the Porto Felice apartment and host cannot be beat.

Superb

Outstanding and quite large property, right on the Porta Felice with amazing outdoor space and views. The apartment is well furnished with a very high level of equipment (from the number of pillow and bedding choices to coffee machine, panini press and a huge shade parasol on the terrace. Nice high quality bits and bobs to welcome us as well (wine, beer, water, snacks etc). Everything in the apartment was of a good quality. Plus Giovanni arranged a great and well priced airport transfer for us as well. A really good choice for us - we loved it.

Great place

The house was vey nice it is full of character, you are surrounded by some lovely furniture and art. Make a.change from bland modern villas. The roof terrace is as the pictures. You are in Palermo so it was noisy but that is what earplugs are for. Host was very responsive and the building is very secure, the host and most of his family live in different apartments.
