Palisades-Alpine Home w/ Hot Tub

Fully furnished 4-bedroom cabin home that is a ~10-minute drive to Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, and Palisades. It has a hot tub, fully-equipped kitchen, fast WIFI, smart speakers / Home Assistant, and Chromecast for the TVs.

There are hiking, mountain biking, and backcountry ski trails accessible around the block from the house. We have extra bike hooks and ski racks for your gear in the house and can provide advice on places to go.

Televisions
- We have Chromecasts setup so you can use almost any streaming subscription service on your phone and cast it to a TV.

- 4 available parking spaces (2 inside the garage and 2 on the driveway)
- hired driveway plow service for the winter season and snowstorms

Water
- Tahoe tap is one of the best in the country

In terms of getting around Tahoe, you will need a car. There are 4 parking spaces at the house (2 in the garage, 2 in the driveway).

Traeger Grill & Hot Tub
You will have access to the entire house, including the hot tub and the Traeger grill. Please read the instructions for the use and care of each on our online house manual (QR code available at the house).

Communicating with Your Hosts
We aim to assist with questions as soon as possible. If you reach out on the app between 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM, we do our best to get back to you as soon as possible at 8:00 AM onwards. If you need urgent assistance, please give Psyche a call.

Neighorhood

We’re right in the heart of Alpine!

8-minute drive to Alpine
11-minute drive to Squaw
10-minute drive to the start of Tahoe River Rafting
10-minute drive to Tahoe city
20-minute drive to Truckee

You will need a car in Tahoe.

Please avoid parking on the street.

Wintertime:
Please avoid parking on the road since the plow may hit and damage or vehicle and it`s against local ordinances. There is a free shuttle service that will pick you up at the house and drive you to the resort on weekends. (You just need to download the `Mountaineer` app).

If you need to make space for trash, you can put it in the bear bin at the driveway. But this is not required for checking out. Please make sure the bear bin is shut properly at all times to keep bears and other wildlife away.

If you`re looking for a local breakfast spot or fine dining, then we have Crest Cafe and River Ranch that are 5 minutes away. Otherwise, you`re looking at 20 minutes to Truckee and 10 minutes to Tahoe City for more food options. We`re happy to recommend spots to check out!
WINTER CONDITIONS & COMMITMENT
When visiting during the winter months, check the weather and road conditions. Certain passes and highways are closed seasonally or depending on weather conditions. Snow chains may be required even with an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle. We do not permit cancelations, rescheduling, or refunds for bad weather. Our AirBnb cancelation policy will apply.

PARKING
There are up to 4 total parking spaces: 2 garage spots for small vehicles and 2 driveway spots for larger vehicles. Please DO NOT park on the street. The end of the road is for forest access and emergency access for the home up the hill. The end of the road should not have parked vehicles. To be mindful of our neighbors, please do not park in front of their properties either.

NO CATS ALLOWED
Sorry, we are allergic and would like to keep cats away from our furniture. Thanks for understanding!

DOGS
We allow up to 3 dogs that are house-trained / potty-trained to ensure we can care for our home and host future guests comfortably. If an accident does happen, please clean up and notify us immediately.

QUIET HOURS (8:00 pm - 8:00 am):
Sound travels easily in this neighborhood. No loud music outdoors. To be considerate of neighbors, please keep noise and sound to a minimum and STRICTLY no music after 8:00 pm, especially while outside the house or on the hot tub deck. Disruptive noise and neighborhood nuisance puts our rental permit at risk. Initial reports and complaints of noise shall get a first warning. Additional reports and complaints of noise after 30 minutes from the first warning will incur a $200 penalty. Any further reports and complaints 30 minutes after that shall warrant an eviction without a refund.

SMOKING
We are a non-smoking home. Smoking is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED inside. You can smoke outside the house or on the decks with doors and windows closed to keep smoke out. Please make sure to use the provided ashtray to help keep the area clean. Reports of smoke inside the house through our detectors or house cleaners shall incur a $2000 penalty fee.

GUESTS
If you`re thinking about inviting friends over, please reach out and ask us. We`re easygoing about inviting a couple of friends over for brunch or dinner, but we want to be considerate of other neighbors in case you are thinking of inviting more than a couple of friends.

Hot tub: The hot tub is on a first come first serve basis. We`ve left opening and closing instructions along with hot tub guidelines inside the unit. Please review before use. We just ask you to be considerate of other guests if they are waiting to use the hot tub, as we ask that they do the same for you as well :)
IMPORTANT NOTE: No jets allowed in the hot tub during quiet hours.

KITCHEN
When checking out, please throw dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start the cleaning cycle on Auto (the dishwasher detergent is under the sink). Please wash all used pots, pans, kitchen knives, and other kitchen items by hand.

SMOKING
You can smoke only outside the house or on the deck. Please make sure to use the ashtray outside to help keep the area clean.

WILDLIFE
Because we live in a place abundant with wildlife, please make sure all windows are closed and doors are locked when you leave.

For VRBO, Booking, Direct Bookings, Google Bookings, and other channels (except for AirBnb): RENTAL AGREEMENT
We`ll request for you to sign a rental agreement and a copy of a government photo ID. After signing, you will receive the smart lock door code on the day before your check-in. Noted in the agreement is that we do a $200 security deposit pre-authorization on your card upon check-in. It is automatically released in 7 days if rules are followed and there are no issues at the house after checkout.
