"The hotel was a bid run down and you can tell that it has seen its best times already.
Nevertheless, the atmosphere is really great and relaxing. Especially for the price I can only recommend to stay there for a few days. First, the hotel is full of locals and for three days we were the only foreigners. Thus, it was a really authentic experience and we really enjoyed it. Second, the room, food and clothing you get (kimono & sandals) are all traditional Japanese.
Third, alongside the public and private onsen there are plenty of enjoyable offerings by the hotel to spend you time. Such as games, karaoke, an arcade and a mahjong gaming room. Only downside is, that everything closes at 9 and the latest breakfast starts at 8.
Overall at great, authentic experience!"
