„The home is high on a hill, modern and very clean. The pool is wonderful and a perfect temperature. We stayed for 1 month. Beatrice met us at the house and responded to our questions quickly. The cleaning crew came in once a week which was fantastic We were not prepared for how steep and narrow the roads were in our area, but it appears to be the norm. My husband eventually became an expert driver. Madeira is a wonderful place to visit. We are happy we chose An Island Apart. “

„The location is great, on walking distance from the harbour and main restaurant/shopping streets in Funchal. The house and its garden are absolutely wonderful, very calm, providing both sun and shade. The garden is very well-kept and we all enjoyed the terrace and pool area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. There is no parking place on the property but this was not a problem at all. „The house was spotless and a good location to get on highway. It was near the airport and could hear planes landing and taking off but did not hear planes after 11 p m. The owner lives in lower level and was very nice but did not speak much English and I do not speak Portuguese so checking in was a little complicated. I liked the location it was not as busy as Funchal and overlooked the mountains. The island is spectacular and would definitely recommend a stay on this island. “

„Quiet neighborhood that is notably separate from the hustle and bustle of Funchal. There is much greenery below the property before more structures exist which helps keep the surroundings quiet. The glass railings give relief from the winds and the hot tub is nicely positioned. There is covered lounging furniture for when the afternoon showers come which still allows you to sit outside. The glass railings were a bit dirty and the hot tub was not as warm as we prefer when we arrived. I ...

„The property was lovely. The view was spectacular. The pool was lovely other than that the underwater lights didn’t work and are never going to. Big disappointment with the hot tub. It was clear that although they were telling us they were going to fix it that it’s been broken for a while and it’s not going to be fixed. They gave us a pittance back to try to make us happy, but it wasn’t enough to make anyone happy. Two of the bathrooms had absolutely foul smells coming from the drains. We ...

„Das Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Von der Terrasse hat man einen traumhaften Blick aufs Meer. Mit dem Auto ist man sehr schnell in Funchal. Bis auf ein paar kleinere Mängel, können wir das Haus absolut weiterempfehlen. Ein Whirlpool oder Pool würde das ganze noch toppen. “
