Centrally located at the start of the Balboa Peninsula, it is just a short walk to the beach from this recently renovated (with new furnishings) 1,100-square-foot vacation home.

Enter the main home and you will be in a well-designed and furnished retreat with a well-equipped patio outfitted with a private hot tub. The living room area of the great room has a large cluster seating area from which you can enjoy a large TV and easy access to the well-furnished balcony/deck that has lots of comfortable seating and a gas grill for when meal-making needs to be easy. An updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a large refrigerator, also has granite countertops and everything else you need to create meals and snacks.

The spacious primary bedroom sports a ceiling fan and a full en suite bath with a large shower. It also has a private patio space perfect for sunbathing or enjoying a coffee or libation at any time. There are also two other bedrooms: one queen and one full-over-full bunk. These bedrooms share a full hallway bath with a shower/tub combination. Additional amenities include cable and WiFi, large flatscreen TVs in each bedroom, and a washer/dryer.

You can easily enjoy the best of Newport Beach with sandy warm beaches, Lido Marina Village, the Lido House and Hotel, plus world-class dining and shopping. Come experience this little slice of Southern California paradise, you will be glad you did!

THINGS TO KNOW
Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning.
The fireplace in the upper home is non-operational.
The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no-tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Pictures are deceiving

The pictures of this property must’ve been taken when it first opened, it does not look like that now. The inside was ok, the floor had not been cleaned very thoroughly. I wiped up some water that spilled and the paper towel was black, so were the bottom of our socks. We ended up wearing our shoes the whole time. The ensuite shower was not cleaned well either. The room that had the other king bed, could use some TLC. The patio was filthy. The cushions looked like someone had spilt something all over them. You could tell that people used the hot tub multiple times, there was dirt swirled around the hot tub, and no one bothered to hose the patio down. I took pictures and sent them to Vacasa, they said someone would come clean, which did not happen. I told them to compensate my a nights stay for the inconvenience, which they did. We put beach towels on the chairs so we could at least sit outside. It’s close walking distance to the beach, which was lovely. Probably won’t ever book this place again.

We entered the unit to see "BROKEN" signs on the dishwasher and vaccum cleaner. The jacuzzi was full of sand. After 10 minutes of walking on the floors barefoot, the soles of my feet were black. Further, I'd reached out to mgmt to ensure good cleaning practices would be used - they were not. The kicker - which was not listed on the site - is that there is NO DOOR TO THE RESTROOM FROM THE MASTER BEDROOM!! I was assured the property mgr would reach out to make better on all the issues we encountered. She did not - even after I'd reached out several times to get this resolved. The temp mgr did set up maintenance for the jacuzzi and dishwasher, but it put a damper on our trip and compromised our plans. I DO NOT recommend this unit.

Great location

This is a cute older home. The kitchen and floors throughout have been updated. The location is great, one block to the beach and Pavilions Grocery is just around the corner. The photos are not exactly up to date. The patio furniture and spa are very old and weathered. The french doors to the patio do not close properly and as a result the property must be constantly swept for sand. Sand is expected at the beach and if we had stayed only for a week or a weekend, it wouldn't have bothered me, after a three weeks I was kinda over it. Walking to the beach every morning and evening cannot be beat. Our dog thought she died and went to heaven. Overall good value.

Not as expected

The location of the property is great. Close to the beach and grocery store, restaurants etc. There were quite a few issues we had with the house. The photos are deceiving. There are too many issues to list here and I tried contacting Vacasa to report a few of the issues but no one ever responded to my emails and there was no personal contact with an agent. While, there have been a few upgrades to the house many of them are just band-aids and the house needs a lot of attention. All the bed/mattress protectors were disgusting and stained. Even though there were clean sheets - underneath the sheet was just gross. The beds were very comfortable though. The floor in the downstairs studio was very dirty and had to be cleaned when we arrived. The coffee maker upstairs was missing the coffee pot. The couch frame back is clearly broken. Door handles falling off on the shower door. These are just a few. This must have been a new listing as there were no previous reviews so lucky us to be the first! If you do choose to stay here just have low expectations.

Enjoyed our stay

This house was beautiful and very conveniently located to the beach. The only room for improvement I would suggest would be more kitchen equipment, we had to get creative a few times when cooking meals. Other than that, it was a great stay!

EXCELLENT LOCATION!

Stayed here in April 2021, couldn't be happier with this location. Less than a block to the ocean and a few blocks from the boardwalk. Tons of restaurants and options within walking distance. Had family come and stay with us for 2 nights that lived in another part of Cali. They have 2 young boys and absolutely loved the bunk beds! Upon arrival we did notice that the tables were sticky and the furniture had sand on it (and on the floor) kitchen counters were sticky in one area and the bedroom dresser and drawers were dirty and I had to clean these before we could use them. I will say we had an issue with the shower (our issue) and when we called they sent someone within a few hours to fix it. The hot tub was a great treat and had no issues. Internet worked great and no issues with anything else. I would recommend this for the location and the roomy feel of the place.

Perfect COVID get away. Great location and super clean. Fast WiFi for 2 working adults and 2 distance learning kids. Close to beach, grocery store, etc. Management company is great, addressed minor maintenance issue immediately with professional staff. Will definitely rent from this company again.

Newport Staycation

We love renting homes when we travel. With COVID we decided to stay close and not travel. The house was okay, the living space was smaller than expected, but having the large deck patio helped with space. The management should have warned us about street noice and construction. During our stay for 2 full days there was major Street construction right in front of the house. It began at 7 am and lasted until 5; so very noisy that we couldn’t enjoy the patio and had to keep the windows and doors closed! Very disappointing! We’ll look for a better house next time we’re in Newport.
