This booking was accidentally made on the wrong date. I tried to cancel less than 5 minutes after I realized the Expedia App changed the date while trying to add a second room to a reservation for 2/28/26 (Saturday).
I have called the hotel twice, used the Expedia Chat, and called the Expedia customer service. Expedia claims that the hotel has to cancel/refund the money, while Country Inn claims that this is Expedia's responsibility to cancel/refund the money. During my last interaction with Expedia customer service, I was told that they would have a resolution in 72 hours. During this time, I had to pay for a 3rd room because they couldn't just change the date.
I am still waiting for a refund.
