Don’t stay here
It was 27 degrees in Milan and the air conditioning was turned off when we asked for it to be turned back on we were told that the control was central and they had no control to turn back on. The room was hot and stuffy when we arrived so we asked them to at least provide fans. We were told that the owner had to authorize any purchases. We opened the windows despite having severe allergies because we couldn’t sleep . There were no screens on the windows so we were eaten alive by mosquitos and flies in the apartment. We bought our own fan with no offer of reimbursement from anyone. Two and a half days into our four day stay they offered to move us to an air conditioned apartment. We would have to incur the cost of taxi to move to new location . We stayed where we were. I would suggest anyone travelling and thinking about this apartment think about if they require heat or air conditioning because if it does not fall within their perimeters you will not have that comfort. Also all over the apartment the floor tiles are being held down by clear tape. In addition several bathroom tiles were being held on with clear tape as well. There were some storage units on the bottom floor of this apartment every night around 10 O’clock a man would come out and throw things around in the unit it sounded like glass and metal and tools at 7 Am a van would pull up and there were construction and drilling noises coming from same place. This could all be heard closed windows.
