„The cottage is small, but perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is a great starting point for various trips to the surrounding area. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone! Just one thing: the last few yards to the cottage are on a rather steep hill (hence "Hillside") and it can be a bit tricky to park your car there. You'll need to ascend the last few yards up to the cottage, but if you're reasonably fit, it shouldn't be a problem.“

„Het verblijf was prima. Er was alleen aangegeven via FEWO dat alles begane grond was, dit bleek niet het geval. Voor mensen met een beperking dus erg lastig. Parkeerplaats aanwezig maar zeer lastig in en uitrijden. Het café de Red Lion is een aanrader. Goed eten en een lekker biertje/wijntje tegen redelijke prijzen.“

„Beautifully appointed cottage in a fantastic location. Easy access to all of the usual attractions and to come back to the hot tub made it extra special. Jan and Craig have gone the extra mile to make sure everything ( including a fantastic welcome hamper) is provided. We tend to make a UK summer break a must each year, and the cottage in Carsington will take some beating!“

„sehr sauber, wunderschön eingerichtet, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, tolle Betten, netter und unkomplizierter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter; "ein Ferienhaus zum Wohlfühlen". Zu empfehlen: Besichtigung von "Haddon hall" -lohnt sich. Einziger "Nachteil": liegt direkt an der Strasse und man hört natürlich dann die Autos; hat uns nicht gestört; aber absolute Stille gibt es dann natürlich nicht.“

„The cottage was exactly as expected and the photos were accurate. Had trouble with gate so parked outside on the road, which was fine. Lovely coffee shop and bakery a few yards up the road as was other convenience shops. Great launch point for visiting area, with lots to do and see. Really enjoyed our stay.“

"In meinem Zimmer war ein neues Bad, aber der Rest des Hotel war doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Was an sich nicht schlimm ist, wenn es dann sauber und gepflegt ist. In meinem Flur roch es sehr unangenehm. Das Frühstück war ok aber nicht jetzt keine tolle Qualität oder besonders lecker. Eine Kollegin hatte ein altes Bad und Schimmel in diesem. Auf die freundliche Frage, ob sie ein anderes bekommen könnte wurde recht unfreundlich geantwortet, dass es nicht möglich ist. Sehr schade, da das Haus an sich wirklich schön ist. "
