„The property was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. „The Abuelo is a jewel of a hotel in the Callejón! Modern, clean and an amazing proprietor. All are helpful and eager to please. Located in the middle of Carhuaz, they can quickly get you the best guides and transport. The cook is fantastic; it thus is the best restaurant in town and one of the best in the Callejón. „Unfortunately they couldn't honour our full booking due to the person in charge having an emergency but let us stay the first night as it was late in the evening. The price was different to what was booked on hotels.com and there wasn't the stated free breakfast. Maybe this was because the person in charge wasn't there. It was very cold due to the building not being fully enclosed. I can't comment on the trips etc which was the main reason we had booked here due to the good reviews.“

„The place is big and comfortable, the shower is perfect - hot with good pressure. Breakfast is good - eggs, bread and jam, coca tea, coffee and juice. The staff are great and knowledgeable about tours and can arrange them for you . The only negative is that there are many neighbourhood dogs which are so noisy barking all night that I couldn't sleep well. Bring earplugs. The hotel is highly recommended.“
