Tranquil trullo with private pool in countryside, near Martina Franca & Ceglie

Relax and immerse yourself in nature at Trullo Serenità (Serenity). Nestled in the countryside amongst olive trees, this unique getaway is ideally situated in the Valle d'Itria between Ceglie Messapica and Villa Castelli. It is the perfect base from which to explore all that beautiful Puglia in southern Italy has to offer. Your recently restored trullo apartment is fully equipped with a new bathroom and kitchenette whilst retaining its original character and charm.

Our new private pool area is popular with guests. You can while away the hours in the shade of an olive tree on our comfy sofas or soak up the sun on the sunbeds, taking dips whenever you desire.

Trullo Serenità is a 3 cone trullo (a style of building unique to this small region of Puglia) that is separate to the main residence of the hosts. The largest cone contains the private entry and bedroom with queen sized bed, bedside tables with lamps and storage space including an area to hang clothes. It is connected to a private spacious bathroom with large shower, separate toilet and hand basin with mirror and storage. The third cone contains a well equipped kitchenette with electric stove, sink, full size refrigerator with freezer, small dining table with 2 chairs as well as plates, glasses, pots and pans, cutlery and cooking utensils so that guests can prepare or reheat meals. The kitchenette is accessed via a traditional stone archway from the bedroom, where most guests will need to be careful and duck to avoid hitting their head.

There is a private shaded courtyard area at the front of the trulli where guests can enjoy al fresco dining, sip on their morning coffee and evening glass of wine.

There is space on the property adjacent to the trulli for guests to park for free.

The land surrounding the property offers many peaceful and secluded places for guests to relax outdoors amongst the olive trees. Comfortable outdoor furniture and sunbeds are provided for guests to use, as well as a ping pong table. The new private swimming pool and surrounding area is a fabulous place to cool off after a hot day of touring.

All bed linen, bath towels and Turkish hammam towels (thin beach towels that can double as a sarong) are provided as well as hand soap, shower gel and other toiletries.

Delicious continental breakfast provisions will be supplied for guests upon arrival together with drinking water.

A washing machine is located on the property, in a separate building, for guests to use. An iron and ironing board are also available for guests to use upon request.

We are close to all the villages of the Valle d'Itria and surrounding area including Ostuni, Alberobello, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ceglie Messapica, Grottaglie, Carovigno, etc. We are only a one hour drive from Lecce and surrounding beaches and towns such as Otranto, Porto Cesareo and Torre Lapillo. It is only about a 30 minute drive to beaches such as Santa Sabina and Torre Canne.

The hosts live on the property in a house separate to the trulli and are available to answer any questions guests may have, help with any issues and offer recommendations for local restaurants, towns, beaches and other places of interest to visit. The hosts will respect the privacy of guests and interact with them only as much as the guests require or desire.
