No response to defects.
The apartment is small but suited our purposes well. Unfortunately, we encountered a number of defects at check in that should not have been there. Namely, no air con and 3 lights that did not work. The main issue for us was the defective air con. This was reported 3 times but we did not receive any response at all let alone any repairs - although it was obvious that the whatsapp messages had been read. The result was that we did not sleep well for the full week (bedroom too hot and then noise due to open windows). I accept that defects occur from time to time but the total lack of response from the management company is wholly unacceptable.
We were also locked out of our apartment at 23.15 one night due to incorrect access dates being entered into the security system. The out of hours representative responded quickly and gave us an over-ride code which we used for the remainder of our stay (the original access code was not re-set).
Whilst the apartment itself was fine, the lack of any response to the reported defects demonstrates a very poor service from the management company. We and Hotels.com were severely let down by the local management company. I am a regular visitor to Malaga and will avoid any properties managed by Sunstay.
