„Perfect setting “

„We stayed with a friend and her 4 year old - the folks running the farm were super friendly, and the 4 yo is still talking about how she misses Ben & Bob (the farm Collies). The cottage is on a working farm, and has been nicely restored, though it's clearly an old building, and I must have banged my head *every* time I went to load the fire in the kitchen! It's a place with real character - the farm has cows, goats, chickens, and fish, and would be great for anyone with kids. The wifi was ...

„Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. Cooked breakfast was fantastic as was dinner … but … why oh why would you feature Nothumbrian sourced ingredients in the ...

„It was a great stay with very good Food and very kind staff. We will definitely come back!“

„Stayed five times, excellent hotel fro a short break away .“

„Freundliches Personal und gutes frühstück. Saubere Zimmer mit komfortabler Ausstattung “

„I've stayed at the Trout a number of times, it is a pretty, well maintained hotel with lots of character and ideally placed to explore Cockermouth, the Western Lakes and the national park. The food is good and the staff are professional and very friendly.“

„Great B&B with a lovely host, beautiful location, very nice room, delicious breakfast- everything was perfect, will definitely come again. “

„The accommodation was in excellent condition for a house of this age, almost as good as the staff, we had a lot of fun and were exceptionally well entertained.“

„Alles bestens, Danke“
