"Schöne Zimmer mit Balkon, nettes Personal und ganz praktisch nur 2 min zu Fuß von der U-Bahn (L Train) gelegen. Hier kann man sogar gratis auf der Straße parken (man muss nur auf die Zeiten und Tage achten). Obst, Gebäck und Kaffee werden zum Frühstück angeboten. Die Umgebung ist nicht die schönste, aber es gibt Bars, Cafés und Restaurants. Gute Base für einen New York Trip wenn man nicht in Manhattan wohnen will. "

"This hotel is located in a tough and arguably unsafe neighborhood. If you’re a nervous tourist who can’t handle Queens energy, this is probably not for you. The walk to the F-train (about 8 minutes) is lined with homeless individuals and people constantly asking for money. Police presence is visible on almost every block. Local buses one block away connect you to Astoria and Steinway, which is a plus. During our stay, there were daily disruptions: early morning construction noise, fire alarms (we were evacuated at 7am), carpet installation with hammering at 8am, and zero proactive communication from management. Requests were ignored, and there was no effort to offer compensation for repeated inconveniences. The gym is more symbolic than useful — an old treadmill, a stepper, a Peloton bike, and a few free weights. Definitely not a fitness facility. On the positive side, the room was clean, and I appreciated the option of two different types of pillows. Also, if you’re into running or walking, it’s possible to reach Roosevelt Island on foot, which offers a great contrast to the rest. If you can block out the chaos, don’t mind being ignored by staff, and are comfortable in a gritty urban setting — this might work for you."

"War für uns die Perfekte Unterkunft für einen New York besuch. Man ist innerhalb von 5 Minuten an 3 unterschiedlichen U-Bahn Stationen und ist damit super an alles angebunden. Man kann auch mit der U-Bahn direkt vom Flughafen via Howard-Beach zum Hotel fahren. Die Zimmer sind für einen Städtetrip genau das richtige, das Gym ist super und auch die umgebung hat alles was man benötigt."

"We stayed at the Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown for 8 days. While there were positive aspects, our overall experience wasn’t good enough to return. The good: • Reception and housekeeping were great – friendly, helpful, and professional. • The mini fridge and TV worked well. • The pool looked clean and well-kept, though we didn’t use it. • The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was in good condition. The not-so-good: • The room looked very worn. The armchair, for example, was in terrible shape (photo attached). • Several power outlets didn’t work – not a dealbreaker, but annoying. • One night we were woken by loud arguing and door slamming in the hallway that lasted over an hour. Nighttime noise happened more than once. • Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant. While the food was fine, the manager (Rego) was unhelpful and unfriendly. We’ve reviewed the restaurant separately, but it was one of the reasons we wouldn’t come back. Despite some good service and a decent location, the combination of worn-out rooms and poor management in the restaurant left a negative impression. This hotel needs investment and leadership improvement."

"Das Personal war perfekt, wir kamen einen Tag später an und ich habe vorab Bescheid gegen. Sie haben unser Zimmer trotzdem reserviert, als wir ankamen war alles reibungslos. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, vor allem der Kaffee. Die Lage ist gut und zentral zu New York. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich "

"Recht neues sauberes Hotel, extrem nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Betten bequem und Bad sehr groß. F Linie sehr Nahe, daher auch praktisch um nach Manhattan zu kommen mit der Subway."

"Wunderschöne Aussicht von den oberen Stockwerke. Die Betten waren gemütlich und die Grösse der Zimmer ideal. Einziges Manko war, dass der Teppich nicht gesaugt war/wurde, alles andere war aber sauber. Die Ubahn ist in 4min. erreichen und die Gegend ist auch sicher. In der Nähe gibt es 2 Deli Supermärkte, der auf der linke ist super um zu Frühstücken oder ein Sandwich zu nehmen. p.s. ein Bisschen weitervorne gibt es eine Rooftopbar die eine super Aussicht hat ;). Wir werden nochmals kommen. Die Frau an der Rezeption war sehr nett und sympathisch. Danke für alles. "
