Cape Disappointment Light House is located on the mouth of the Columbia River. It is accessible to the public from the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center by foot only. Approximately a kilometer hike from the parking lot that offers spectacular views of the mouth of the Columbia and the Pacific Ocean. It is near this point that Lewis and Clark first viewed the Pacific Ocean on their 1805 exploration.
