Space
If you love a home with some character and charm then this cottage is for you. She's been beautifully restored with all the best features kept for you to enjoy. Within a block of the Launceston General Hospital it's also within walking distance to the CBD with fantastic restaurants, a pasta bar and a park for kids and adults alike.
The home is deceptively spacious with a light - filled living and dining area which spills out into the courtyard. The perfect spot to sit and enjoy your favourite beverage or cook dinner on the BBQ.
Comfortably sleeping 4 adults, there are 2 queen sized bedrooms situated on either side of the hallway. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a European laundry with a combined washing machine-dryer.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials including basics like salt and pepper, cookware and modern appliances.
If you are working remotely or enjoy a Netflix session there is strong wifi and a smart TV. There is no desk specifically, however the dining table is a lovely spot to work from.

The Neighborhood
South Launceston is a lovely and diverse suburb, known for its mining cottages built in the early 1900's. Being the first suburb South of the city, South Launceston is only a short walk or drive into Launceston’s city centre. With this hard-to-beat location, South Launceston provides you with access to many eateries, retail shops, amenities and Launceston’s city centre with ease.
Whilst exploring the suburb, we recommend stopping in to Guerrilla drive-through coffee to start your day. Wellington Street runs through the suburbs centre, with popular restaurants, take-away's, hairdressers, beauty salons and boutiques branching off either side. You'll be spoilt for choice for food and drink options, with many food vans serving up delicious goodies each day.
Nearby, you will find the Door of Hope facility housing Launceston's most popular gym, a café, a childcare centre, conference facilities and a church.
Coronation park, containing a sporting oval and small playground, is located in South Launceston. Other local parks include Princes Square, full of historical fountains, and the City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys.
Wander down to Launceston’s city centre, where you will find yourself surrounded by many of Launceston's most iconic historical buildings. You will find many tasty cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques and a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs.
South Launceston provides you with easy access to the Launceston General Hospital, and Charles Street, where you are sure to find many eateries and bars. Other restaurants and bars of note include The Black Cow Bistro, Cataract on Paterson, Café Mondello, Novaro's and Cinco Passione's, who serve up arguably the most tasteful cocktails in the city.
The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift, a play area, BBQ’s and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.

METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.
FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger! For timetables and routes, please see the Metro Tasmania Website (Free Tiger Bus).
INTERCITY BUS SERVICE: Tasmania has you covered with a variety of intercity bus services to make your city-to-city travels a breeze. If you're in the North West region, which includes Burnie, Wynyard, Devonport, and more take a peek at the 'MerseyLink' bus service website for their timetables. If you're heading to or from Launceston and the southern spots like Hobart, make sure to swing by the 'Kinetic' website. Please note that 'Kinetic' has you covered for some routes to and from Devonport as well.
ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!

Notes
The driveway is shared with the house next door. Please note that there is space for two small cars; however, depending on the sizes, it can be quite tight. There's additionally ample street parking outside the property.
Due to its close hospital proximity, you may hear some sirens from time-to-time.
