„I thought the environment and the staff were very friendly and cozy. It’s a short walk from any convenience store and Nishiki market is about a 15 to 20 minute walk. The onsen is definitely a plus after a long day of walking. “

„Check-in was a bit of a problem as it's a non-staffed property and neither Expedia nor the hotel itself had sent me the necessary information for self check-in in advance. The property is very chic and posh, yet it is a bit dusty at some places. No TV provided; all is well otherwise. “

„It´s a traditional Japanese Guesthouse. If you like such an experience it´s a great place to stay with a lovely local surrounding (shops, restuarants...). Shower / WC are shared. At night you should come back around 23:00 - so if you like to go out late at night you might need to look for another place.“

„The host was amazing. He contacted us to see what time to expect us. Whenever we walked up he was at the door to welcome us and show us around. We loved everything about our stay. Now understand that this is a traditional Japanese home. My family enjoyed the experience. We were a nice 15 minute walk to the bamboo Forest, a short walk to several dining options, cafe for coffee and a Lawson for convenience. „This property is very close to Kodai-ji, which was very convenient. Also, the host washed, dried, and folded our laundry (a family of 5) while we were out seeing the sites. This was incredibly helpful. Another highlight of our stay was the wonderful welcome tea and tasty breakfast provided during our stay. Although it was a bit more expensive than other options, these benefits were well worth the additional cost.“
