This was our most disappointing VRBO experience. We received no check-in directions. Sent host two VRBO app messages and arrived at 3:15 but couldn't access property. Host did not respond to messages. We contacted VRBO and received two entry codes on file (which failed) and then host's contact info. Both a call and text to host went unanswered. Spent 45 minutes working with VRBO before reaching host via 3-way call with VRBO. Host offered no apology, only said the cleaning crew had not arrived but would shortly, and he would refund cleaning fee. We finally gained access over 3 hours after check in time, which killed our evening plans. We were asked to handle laundry the cleaning crew left. Dryer did not dry well and washer smelled, so we didn't wash our clothes there. Master bathroom shower backed up during use (instructions said "use Draino" so must be a regular thing). Logged into TV (no cable) and wifi was spotty. Furniture not positioned for four of us to comfortably watch TV. Unit feels like a nice frat or first flip with stained furniture, cheap bedroom items, and a dislodged towel bar in master bath. Host refunded cleaning fee of $125 but never offered an apology or owned the inconvenience he created. Big downer to our trip. It IS close to Arrowhead but not great for families. Also, there are internal cameras "for your safety" (which we missed in the rental details), but the auto lights and camera system felt creepy to all of us.
