The Space:
We provide 2 beach chairs, 1 umbrella, and 1 cooler for guest use. Additionally, any beach equipment left behind by previous guests, including sunscreen, floats, and snorkels, is available for your enjoyment—feel free to use it during your stay!

This Big Island of Hawaii complex is right across the street from White Sands Beach. Spend your days body boarding, snorkeling, and playing in the waves. The vacation rental has a partial ocean view overlooking the pool and can accommodate up to 5 guests with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

This updated condo features plantation and tropical inspired decor/furnishings in each room. Enter into an area with the kitchen, dining table, and living room. The kitchen has upgraded appliances and plenty of counter space for a chef to cook delicious meals. Steps away is a dining table with seating for four so you and your guests can enjoy a home cooked dinner together. The private lanai also is a great option for dining space. A patio table and chairs are arranged so you can dine and sip on a fruity drink out here. You can watch mesmerizing sunsets over the Kona coast from the comfort of the lanai.

The living room has seating circling a large flat screen TV. The couch also assembles into a sofa sleeper for additional space. A DVD player, WIFI, iPod docking station, central A/C, keyless entry, and a washer/dryer are provided for your convenience. Do not fret over bringing your own ocean gear either. The home has beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, beach towels, and snorkeling equipment.

When you are ready to catch up on some rest, there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom holds a Queen-sized bed and has an attached private bathroom. The bathroom has a standalone shower and spacious vanity. The guest bedroom is ideal for housing the kids with two Twin-sized beds. A guest bathroom is prepared with a shower/tub combo.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property, on the premises, and in any nearby common areas. Violations will result in an automatic $500 fine, plus any additional costs for carpet and upholstery cleaning or other damages caused.

Attention: For safety and cleanliness, infants who are not potty trained are not permitted in the pool. Please use the designated kiddie pool for children who are not potty trained.
Please note: Any accidents in the pool will result in a closure of 5-7 days for cleaning and a $2,500 fine. Diapers, including swim diapers, do not prevent contamination from occurring.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our pool safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Other great amenities are provided for guests at White Sands Village. There is one parking space corresponding with your unit (#309), a tennis court, an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, BBQ stations, and shared patio areas. A secure pass code is given for ease of check-in and added security.

• For stays extending 30 nights or more, a security deposit and utility fee will be required. The security deposit ensures the protection of the property during your stay, while the utility fee covers essential services such as electricity and any damages that are caused by guests.
These terms help us maintain the quality and comfort of our vacation rentals for all guests.

Perfect for for family’s older than diapers

This was the perfect spot for our family. It had everything we needed plus. The pool table out side BBQ and kitchen were beautiful and the swimming pool was great. The parking was a bit tight for the sUV we got but it was parking included so that was great. Everything in the condo was great. Sometimes the TV worked and sometimes it didn’t but could be user error as well. The floors were swept but could have been mopped and the kitchen rug cleaned. It had every utensil we could need. Dishwasher left a lot of soap on dishes but we usually cleaned them as we used them any way. It is right across the street from a beautiful beach. Mostly used for body surfing but the waves were perfect. Sitting on that beach was wonderful too. Also the restaurant across the street was great as well. It was so nice to have so much right at walking distance. I rate this top notch in my book. I would definitely want to go back. It says it has elevators but like ours we still had to go up stairs to get to the condo on the third floor. If you can’t do stairs be sure to ask if your condo is on the elevator floor with no stairs to climb. Did not hear anything from the management. We got there at the time the email stated but no one was there. So we just used the code we were given and it worked. No problems there. My family totally loved it.

Excellent location

Place was extremely well located. Across from the beach with the most amazing sunsets. The common area is spacious, pool was big enough and quiet enough. A few BBQs available as well. Apartment was clean and with the all necessary appliances. But the fridge needs to be fixed as I doesn’t cool enough. That was unfortunate because we were hoping to cook at home to avoid spending so much money out in restaurants but after having some of our food spoil we had no choice.

Nice but away from amenities

It had a pool, hot tub and barbecues that we used, and close access to the ocean for sunset viewing and Magic Sands Beach. We did find we were isolated there, with only one bar and one restaurant across the street within walking distance. All other bars, restaurants and groceries were not reachable on foot. You must drive or obtain an Uber or bus. It was a quiet location. The north side of the property is next to sacred land which cannot be developed. It is like a bird sanctuary. Lovely to listen to birds from that side of the property in the morning. It is also next to a residential area which is nice to walk through.

Sunrise, sunset on the beach

Property was easy to find after arriving on a late flight. What a joy to wake up to a gorgeous sunrise. If we were back in the evening the sunset was just as amazing. To get the full benefit, it was just across the street on the White Sands beach. There was a also closet of beach accessories, quite handy for the kids.

My friends stayed here and said it was clean and had all the necessities. The management company is a bit inflexible and will charge you if you request early check in or late check out, which wasn’t so convenient. Other than that, great location.

Tired and dirty

The area is fine just across from the beach. The condo is dingy and dark. Need better lighting. The side of the fridge was dirty, behind the the pantry handle was disgusting (the wall was literally black from dirt) and the vent in the master bedroom has not been cleaned in years. The whole condo needs an upgrade. The faucet in the kitchen was tough to use due to its age, have to use muscle to get it to work. I have stayed in this complex before at a different condo and this one was a disappointment. I have stayed in lots of VRBOs around the world and have not had any regrets about my stay. This is the first one.

Convenient and well sized rental.

Excellent communication with management company, easy check in and check out process. Great size For a family, well equipped kitchen and beach supplies and well located with pool in the grounds and beach across the street. It got a four due to the furnishing and apartment showing it’s age (screen door rusting, tired sheets Etc). That said I would definitely stay there again, not at all deal breakers.

Decent for the price

Overall the stay was just okay. Nothing great and I would not stay again. Ants in the kitchen, even though we left nothing out. I guess that can be tropical but I e not had that happen on previous rentals in Hawaii. Dishes had to be rewashed as they didn’t seem very clean. They stated starter items would be left, but we had zero washing detergent. Beds are very uncomfortable and felt like very poor quality. Also I could not get the bath to work- only the shower head worked which is hard with little ones. On the positive side, the exterior amenities- pool and spa and outdoor bbq were really nice! They did have a closet with beach items and that was also very on point! Overall it’s an okay stay but don’t expect 5 star.

White Sands Village #309

The bad: Upon arrival the two things I noticed were the mold around all of the AC vent registers. Second thing I noticed was the chunk of human poop on the wall beside the toilet in the master bathroom. So, I cleaned up the poop and we never used the HVAC (not needed at all). Both my wife and I felt the place needed a deep cleaning before occupants arrive. The good: Ease of process. Booking, check in access and check out were ridiculously convenient. Seriously easy. Location is freakin’ great. Literally across The street from Magic Sands Beach - literally seconds to be on the beach. Car access in and out was easy. Parking was easy. The rooms were of ample size (family of four). The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but we were so tired after being out and active it didn’t matter. The kids’ beds were on rollers, and we wished we could have secured them - Both my son’s bed and daughter’s beds would creep, and since the headboards weren’t attached to the bed frame, they would lean/fall away from the wall as the bed moved. Front room/dining room was very large with more than enough room for all of us. Kitchen was small, but there was enough room for two people to move about (just). There were enough kitchen implements (mostly) that we got by for a week cooking many meals. The kitchen could use a few more implements for folks that don’t eat out every meal. The patio doors together with security/screen door was the saving grace as far as keeping the condo cool. The two patio sliders were open all the time with the front door open and the security door closed and locked. The flow-thru of air was perfect. The patio was huge and the kids spent a lot of time out at the table doing activities. The washer and dryer is a smallish stackable unit that was fully capable of handling the wash load. Having that unit meant we could pack lighter. Amenities on site are really good, but we only accessed the pool (for the kids to swim). Overall my wife and I were satisfied and we’d give it a 7/10.

The place was clean. But don’t expect to do any sort of cooking here, there weren’t even knives supplied in the kitchen. The beds were like sleeping on plywood and rolled around every time you tossed and turned while sleeping. The headboards weren’t even attached to the beds. This unit was fine if you were planning on only sleeping there at night and didn’t mind the type of bed you were sleeping in.

The condo was very nice and well stocked with supplies. The view was great and a very short walk down the driveway, across the street to the beach. The only down item was the hall closet had lots of beach items for us to use. A kids bucket from the top shelf fell down, it was full of sand. The sand went over my sister and onto the ground. It took us an hour to clean up the sand off of the floor and clean the closet. We had a wasp nest on the balcony so we call the rental company. They sent someone out immediately to deal with the problem. We used the grills so make sure you go down and sign up for the time you'll need it. The pool at the condo was very nice and fun to use.

Great place to stay

I felt like we were really close to everything we wanted to do as far as shops, taking a stroll to look at the beaches, and visiting our daughter on the YWAM campus. Quiet condo that was well stocked. Third floor was great, with an elevator provided if wanting to use. Loved the chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment, lots of towels that were provided and a decently stocked kitchen. Had a great stay!

Great condo and location

We had a great time in Kona. The condo was well equipped with boogie boards, beach towels and coolers. Snorkel gear is a bit old. The condo was clean and the pool and bbq area very nice. Great location across from Magic/White Sands Beach. And it was sandy when we arrived and rocky when we left. But still good to hang out and watch the huge waves and swim in when it was calmer. Thank you! We will book this place again.
