„Just wow! This place was perfect. Great location just outside of Gettysburg, surrounded by beautiful Orchards, and only minutes away from the historic Cashtown Inn. „We came to visit Gettysburg and Amish Country and were excited to learn that while we had spent much time learning about the Civil War, Lee had actually come to visit the very house we stayed at and is detailed in a book located at the property called “A River to Cross”. „This old farm house was just as promised. Rustic but clean and comfortable. My teens enjoyed hanging by the pond or exploring the battlefield locations nearby. The house was a short drive to everything Gettysburg related. The host had notebooks available showing nearby restaurants and things to do. We had a great dinner at one of the restaurants we found in the book. Highly recommend this home for families interested in Gettysburg. “

„We had 14 people stay throughout the weekend. Plenty of room to join the fun or find a quiet space. The views were stunning and kitchen was well appointed. Everyone slept wells so the beds are great. You have a small town about 4 miles away were you can pick up items you may need. Harris Teeter is 12 miles away. Great stay! Vonda “

„Note: "Pet Friendly" only extends to dogs under 20 pounds. The park trails along the Potomac were its best feature. They start just a very short walk from the front door. The house worked out very well for us. It was sparsely furnished and some elements were slightly shabby, but it was fine as we were most interested in getting together. It was excellent value for the many bedrooms. Just don't expect a mansion. “

„Very nice house on wonderful, spacious property close to DC but feels like in the country. Listing has breakfast and playground as amenities, niether of which are accurate. Kids loved the adjustable basketball hoop. House could use a highchair for families staying with infants as we were. Kitchen well stocked with cookware, bakeware, dishes and utensils.“
