„房間寬敞舒適，稍為不足的是湖景被遮擋。旅館員工的英語不算流利，但態度很親切和友善。早餐及晚餐非常豐富，看得出很用心準備，不過晚餐實在吃得太飽，如能減少碟數更佳。雖然房間有獨立浴室，但我還是喜歡去公共溫泉浴池，冬天去的話，沒有太多人，令人很放鬆。“

„The first thing to say is that this hotel is a bit of a walk from the Tobu-Nikko station and probably is better suited to people arriving by car. The second thing to say is that they have a bit of an annoying guest registration where you have to enter a lot of information on a tablet computer, even if you entered it already while booking. „I had a brilliant time at this guesthouse. The owners were so lovely, kind and helpful. The breakfast was varied and wholesome and plenty of it. The room, although dated, was large and I slept really well. It had everything you needed. It is located close to all the sights of Nikko and a nearby Onsen. A bus ride takes you easily to the lake. I wish I could have stayed longer and really recommend you staying here. The hosts are amazing.“

„Amazing Ryokan held by a very nice couple. The kaiseki diner and breakfast were especially Amazing !! If you don’t mind using a public bathroom I totally recommend you this Ryokan 👍“

„The in room onsen, sauna, and cold plunge tub was amazing!! The checkin/checkout process was all done on an IPad which was very cold and impersonal to me. That said, the property was very peaceful. Take a taxi up the hill. It’s about a mile and the path was full of debris. We had 4 roller bags and they fit in the taxi just fine. Enjoy!!“

„The owner is lovely and very helpful - although we are fans of Japanese food, we enjoyed the (Western) breakfast (which had to be ordered every day in advance) and the owner was helpful in giving advice and tips for Nikko's many attractions and for places to eat nearby. Some of the latter were a bit "hit and miss" - the Chinese restaurant wasn't very good and, despite being cheap, the food was stodgy and not very tasty. „Das Hotel ist das erste westliche in Japan eröffnete. Das und die dortige Atmosphäre sind die Übernachtung schon wert. Das Gebäude versprüht nostalgischen Charme und das macht den besonderen Reiz aus. Zimmer sind groß Und geräumig, allerdings ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, wobei das logisch ist bei einem 150 Jahre alten Hotel. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und überaus hilfsbereit. “

„Das Hotel selbst und der Service sind wirklich super. Auch die Zimmer sind schön modern und gross. Einziger Negativpunkt ist die abgelegene Lage. Da es zum Hotel fast 30min hoch und 20min zurück zum Bahnhof sind. Mit einem Auto würde ich das Hotel sofort wieder buchen“

„The hotel is exactly what I imagined a perfect stay would be like in Japan. It has EVERYTHING I expected. The traditional style, the view, the food, the vibe.. The staff are very welcoming and responsive and helpful. I bought the half board. The breakfast and dinner are wonderful. The location is also great, very close to the sites and nice cafes and restaurants. Strongly recommended! Would definitely stay longer for a week next time in Nikko. “

A bit of a walk...

"The first thing to say is that this hotel is a bit of a walk from the Tobu-Nikko station and probably is better suited to people arriving by car. But what was so great here was that the room felt really luxurious, the own little onsen bathtub was suprisingly popular with us and we really loved it. The stay here was actually my wife's favorite during our trip. "

Schlechte Lage, super Hotel

"Das Hotel selbst und der Service sind wirklich super. Auch die Zimmer sind schön modern und gross. Einziger Negativpunkt ist die abgelegene Lage. Da es zum Hotel fast 30min hoch und 20min zurück zum Bahnhof sind. Mit einem Auto würde ich das Hotel sofort wieder buchen"
