Our three balconies with gardens were beautiful, the room very spacious and clean.

"Mixed feelings about our Halong Bay cruise - the good, the not-so-good, and some tips for future travelers
The journey started well with a comfortable, modern bus transfer to the marina. The ferry captain who took us to our final boat was skilled and provided a smooth ride. However, several aspects of the experience didn't quite meet the 5-star standard the company claims.
The check-in process could use some polishing - staff weren't uniformed, and there was quite a bit of shouting among the luggage handlers. Be prepared for a rather lengthy transfer process (about an hour) before reaching your actual cruise boat, including a curious life jacket checkpoint along the way.
Important tip for booking: Some rooms on the first deck might have their balcony views blocked by a support boat that remains attached throughout the journey - definitely worth checking this when selecting your room!
The accommodation had some issues - slow-filling bathtub that needed cleaning before use, and even the presidential suite guests mentioned having no hot water. The WiFi was reportedly unavailable due to the remote location, though we could see other boats' networks.
Dining experience could be enhanced - the food was acceptable, but the atmosphere was frequently disrupted by noisy plate clearing. The staff conducted accounting work in the breakfast area, which felt out of place for a luxury cruise.
