A nice stay on St.Lucia
The contact with Roger was great and the transaction with the apartment was really uncomplicated. As we arrived on St.Lucia the taxi driver was already waiting of us, put our baggage in the their car and we drove off. He was a very friendly man and it was kind to chat with him, he drove us also back to the airport. The caretaker cordially received us at the apartment and showed us the facility, rooms, machines and so on and gave us the keys. Many thanks for all her help and support. After that, she drove us to the supermarket for buy food and drinks for first day, that was a nice touch. The apartment was clean but it was smelling a bit musty in the cupboards maybe from the high air moisture. A further thing was that more times sounded very loud music from the beach until 2.00 am. The windows in the front boomed so strongly from the bass that we could not sleep. Under the sideboard we could see every day wood flour at the ground, all other was ok.
We made a tour along the west coast with an Austria guide Michael (German speaking), we saw the pitons and the active thermal fields from the volcano. He showed us the many different plants from the island and we visited Soufriere and some other villages and towns, it was really impressive. At a other day we made a trip to Fort Rodney, that was also nice and we enjoyed the wonderful view.
