„Fabulous hotel made to feel welcome as soon as we entered the bar on a busy Sunday lunchtime! The landlord let us check in early the room overlooked the bar garden and nice rural views! Lovely really pub with a selection of real ales! Will be return in the near future! Ingelton is a pretty place. The breakfast is delicious good quality ingredients. Ideal for families. “

„Lovely accommodating owners of the guest house. Nice room and bathroom. Area to sit downstairs and watch the TV, which was lovely. Surrounded by nice walks and a local pub. Breakfast was also nice. I cannot fault the place.“

„Clean, comfortable rooms but quite cosy. The pub is on the busy A65, so it can be quite noisy, even at the back. Very little choice for vegetarians/vegans, especially if you don't like fake meat. Although the kitchen did agree to do the mushroom salad which is normally only on the lunchtime menu for dinner, which was nice. Some fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but there was tasty bread. “

„Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!“

„So upon arrival the hotel had no record of our booking through Hotels.com. Luckily they had a room available and gave it us for the rate id booked a year ago. The room was large, nicely decorated. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding delicious. The staff were lovely. We had two issues. The toilet wasn't clean, had poo stains from previous guests. And there was no hot water from the shower. Luckily the bath was ok. “

„After spending 7.5 hours walking up Mount Whernside, I was looking forward to a hot meal and a comfortable bed; and that's just what I got! Cotton sheets and soft white fluffy towels were appreciated.Pamela was very welcoming and friendly. Only 2* accommodation but that was all that was required, therefore can't fault it; achieving my Mountain walk was my main aim! 💪excellent coffee in the morning! ☕😁 xx“
